I run too and I think yoga is necessary for me to keep my muscles and tendons flexible and pain free.Since I started with yoga,my running has improved a great deal. I look forward to each yoga session after a long run,so nice.

This is how I like to practice yoga! Just move SLOWLY and DELIBERATELY, with the BREATH, as if moving through water. Within a month or two of practicing every day, you'll feel your internal fluidity. Oftentimes, vinyasa can can be too fast and jumpy to really feel the grace of the flow; this is something the good folks at Strala excel at.

I also have a bony spine and tailbone, so these kinds of moves usually hurt me. Try a very thick fitness mat (not a traditional thin yoga mat) - I own one from Valero. Check your form - "scoop" the belly instead of pushing it out, and focus on rolling on your spine as opposed to a "jackknife" sort of move. If you are doing all these things - great! Now challenge yourself more - lower your legs further on the way down and don't hold grasp them when you come up - keep it balanced. Hope that helps!

Love it! I have always been cardio, weights kinda girl but being almost 30 I think this is the way to go, I have always done Pilate's but this is super toning and relaxing, you just zone out into yourself and trust me you feel it the next day!

I have two questions: as everything is connected (body, mind etc) do you have a beginner friendly routine for a more glowy, fresh skin? And do you have a tip on how to make both sides (right and left body half) more even. My left side is much more flexible than the right side. I am glad these women can get fit on their own time. Most of us in the world have to work 24 hours a day and are too worn out to go outside of our houses. Most people just long to go on jogs, but if you get fired then you can eat garbage and get skinny so win win!

It would be nicer if Tara would speak and give instructions in a SLOWER pace. During the asana it is very important to be mindful in a relaxed and yet controlled way. A soothing RELAXED tone could be very helpful, so we are not pushed to rush or escape the moment. The objective is to tame stress while doing yoga.

I am thin person myself and I agree Tara is very thin, but it's not an unhealthy thin. She is not thin, because she is starving herself or something. She is thin because she eats healthy and does yoga which makes her a healthy thin.

this is what peeps look like who don't use food as a drug! peeps have weight issues because they self medicate with food instead of using it as nutrition for the body. wholesome food won't make you fat, junk food will. Every healthy body can do this, so use this as inspiration and stop using excuses as to why you can't!
