Whether or not the oil needs changed is based largely on the tbn, which you can't know unless you test it. Any used equipment, new to you, deserves an oil change straightaway. Your encouragement for people to perform their own maintenance is spot on. Thanks for your post.

You are very correct! The more stuff that I do to this bike the more everything indicates that the service that was said to be done, was not. Thanks for your comment 👍🏽

Great video when I got my Harley I had a friend tell me that the $500 check up was basically an oil change for 500 bucks so I didn’t take it in just bought the hardly manual and did everything they said basically what you did thanks very much. Love your videos, you’re helping out a lot of guys keep up the good work

My 2019 Road Glide Special is at 39K and it has never been to an HD dealership for any service work. I did void the warranty within the first 6 months that I owned it when I installed a Red Shift 468 cam and a power vision tuner. Its not hard to do the service on the bike as long as you have a service manual.

That RD 350 behind you is gorgeous. I had either a 72 or 73 RD 350 in the maroon color that bike was an absolute maniac lol what a blast ride I was 17 or 18 when I got it. Now I’m wanting one again after seeing yours. Are they hard to rebuild and thanks for the video I’ve got just over 5000 miles on my street glide special so I will be taking care of that service myself. Thank you.

I actually traded a CB750 that I picked up in NY for that RD. I did nothing to that bike besides ride it. She was an animal. I kinda wished that I kept it but I can't keep them all!

It'll be with me until I die. Btw I just picked up another CB360 just like it, you should check that video out as well. Thanks again!

You’d also check tires for wear, pressure, unusual damage in the 5k. Didn’t catch that in the video. Like the rest of the list it’s super easy, but also super important to do regularly and at each major service interval.

If you're at least a little mechanicly inclined, get a shop manual, take a rainy Sunday and do it Yourself and save 600$! I say 600 because of the price of the manual and all the fluids you'll have to change!

The prices of the bikes are one thing but the real ripoff is indeed in the service dept. asked the dealer about installing Legends Axeo fork suspension. They said 5 hours labor at $120 plus $100 for fork rebuild kit. $700 plus cost of suspension. Just got back from Daytona Bike Week. Got Ohlins instead, installed for free. timed the install, 1 HR AND 43 MINS!!!! 5 hours? F*ck Harley.
