I just had a 1K service on a '21 Slim, and I noticed on the way home they adjusted the clutch,(which felt fine before), so that when I'm sitting stopped, in gear, with the clutch pulled in, the bike wants to creep if the brakes aren't engaged. Glad I got to see Chris do the proper adjustment so I can fix this before I ride it again. Probably be going to a different dealership for the 5K :)
@ThorGardner-q3l2 ай бұрын
They prob didn't adjust your clutch. If you goto where your clutch cable is clamped along the frame of your bike and twist it you can see it lengthens and shortens your cable...

This is mostly a Chris video and to have a guy who has the wealth of knowledge to actually check critical fasteners; it’s just awesome. If I had a brand new expensive Harley, I would definitely want nothing falling off. If my cover falls off going down the highway and I have to explain to my insurance company why my motorcycle cover is in a car’s radiator. And then I’ll have to check and purchase another one. How does doing a service outside the dealership affect warranty?
@bernardlesperance7422 жыл бұрын
Depends on what is done to the bike and if any problems can be attributed to it by HD.

@jadeviper12902 жыл бұрын
At bottom, your friction zone will be way out at the end. Doing 1/2 turn will pull it in slightly, and 1 full turn will bring it in considerably. You will want to do 1 full turn to get your friction zone closer to the grip.

Did my first oil change at 300+ miles. Visiting another dealer had a oil change special. New engine may have some metal particles floating around from manufacture. Was goimg to it at 500. Always changed oil on first startup of a newly rebuilt car engine when it gets to temp or running in a cam. Factory HD manual for your bike should list critical fasteners. Yea I'm old school.

Last time I took my 2021 road glide limited to the meridian Harley dealer for my 1000 mile service I got home and there was a lot of oil under the filter and all over the electrical parts and water pump. I was so pissed, and I can tell they did not check front axle because I video where my caps was set at. So I’m sure they just pulled the oil filter with no drip pan under it. So I performed the oil change again do to the fact I did not trust there work and will never use them again.
