Missed book point: Cho’s friend was the one that turned Dumbledore’s army in cause of her families relationship with the Ministry. However Hermione put a curse on the contract they signed that would cause awful acne and show that she was responsible

Right. Exactly. I hate that they changed it so Cho ratted them out. They tried to lessen it by saying she was forced to drink veritaserum. But it's like, how did Umbridge even know to ask? They show nothing to show how she found out about it. Like it was just random luck she found out. I hate what they did with the movies. From Prisoner of Azkaban on the movies just get farther and farther from the book material.

This is the most thematic of the Harry Potter movies which is why I love it. It’s less about plot and mystery and more about the themes of depression, isolation, and then the importance of friendship that makes Harry and Voldemort stand apart. It used to be one of my least favorite of the movies, but I’ve learned to really appreciate it now as an adult.

This movie was particularly awesome to experience in IMAX 3D. The final battle scene, with all the glass shards, really was a spectacle. Also, when the group of kids enter into the Prophecy Room, and when all the shelves are collapsing, that scene was also really impressive. It was a rare and impressive use of IMAX 3D.

I wish they would talk more about the differences between Movie Harry and Book Harry. Book Harry is a vastly different character than the movie version. Yes, there are still lots of moments where he lucks out and usually doesn't have a plan, but he has wayyy more charisma in the books and is a bit more aware of his surroundings. I hope they mention it in the last two reviews since the differences are WAY more apparent in the last two books/three movies.

The converstation between Harry and Sirius during Christmas about there being good and bad in all of us and its what we choice to act on is literally one of my favorite scenes in the entire series, its this scene and a scene in the next book when Harry finally understands the truth in the nature of the prophecy.

There's a detail from the book that i felt was much more important but wasn't mentioned. During Christmas, Sirius gives Harry half of a mirror that lets him communicate with him and Harry doesn't remember until the end of the book, it also comes up in the 8th movie

Only 3 episodes left but I feel like Boss Baby's Book Corner might be better sprinkled in throughout the plot, might make it easier to mention some differences that might slip through For example, in GOF, Neville gives Harry the gillyweed in the movies but Dobby gives it to him in the books. This difference is the reason Snape suspects Harry of stealing his things

didn't hear if you mentioned, Cho Chang was not the snitch, the movie portrayed her as such, but in the book, the snitch is a friend, Marie, daughter of a Ministry of Magic employee, who Cho brought to one of the DA meetings.

Rewatching this series with what I know i can see similarities to other classic trilogies. Similar the the original starwars 3 act structure or hero's tail like described by Joseph Campbell this movie and the goblet of fire serve as the middle act or empire strikes back of the Harry Potter series. The previous movies were a new hope with a lot of character building with these resulting in Voldermorts return as the middle act phase. The movies at follow would then be the return of the jedi of the series and with that in mind will be interesting going forward. Never was big into Harry Potter due to trouble reading but watch your series gives me a greater appreciation for them. Thank you for your content.

I feel the biggest thing that wad glossed over from the book to the movie was how the DA was found out. In the books it felt much more personal and impactful with the betrayal of one of their own. Also as a quick thing I think it was a candy wrapper Neville's mother gave to him.

One thing that's always super bugged me about this movie. That scene in the Ministry where they get into the fight in the room with the veil. In the books, we know that Voldemort gained the ability to "fly", or unsupported flight as it's called, and then later we learn Snape figured it out too. But in the movies, suddenly ALL the Death Eaters can do it. It's just a thing. Which is whatever. We can pretend that Voldy taught his high level death eaters how to do it. But what really bugs me is that they decided to just suddenly and out of nowhere give the Order members this ability too and they have this dramatic entrance in that scene where they all show up to save the day in these clouds of white smoke and later it shows the order members and death eaters all flying around as clouds of black and white smoke fighting each other. And after this movie, suddenly they've all forgot how to do it. Never see it again from the good guys. It's so dumb. Because we can assume that ability to fly like that is a dark arts thing. I just hate what they did with these movies.

I just want to point out, and I'm mildly disappointed that Boss Baby said what he did. But Squibs CAN see dementors. It's said in the books while Mrs Figg is being interrogated. Fudge asks her "Incidentally, can Squibs see Dementors..." to which she responds, "YES! We can!"... So she definitely can see them.

Can't believe I'm the nerd who gets to say this: -Um, actually Professor Trelawney made the prophecy during her job Interview with Professor Dumbledore. So he shows the prophecy to Harry from his own Memories, in the pensieve. Suck it, Boss Baby! Kidding, love the show

Also, (I know, I'm getting annoying with all the comments) but it never made sense to me, in the movies as well as the books, as to why Hermione was afraid to say Voldemorts name. In the Wizarding World people were afraid to say it out of fear becuase they either experienced his first reign of terror, or the kids of those people were taught not to say it as well becuase of how terrifying he was. And that's why Harry, from book one onward was always saying his name and being like, fuck sorry didn't mean to, until Dumbledore was just "don't be a pussy, say his name, you're just giving him more power by not saying it". But Hermione was also a muggle born. She didn't grow up fearing him or his name. Plus, she's smart as fuck, so she'd know better than anyone that saying his name isn't something to fear. Not to mention that it's dumb as FUCK to have Hermione fear his name since in the second movie at Florish and Blotts they gave Hermione the line Dumbledore says to Harry in the end of first book, which is, "Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself". They had Hermione say this in Chamber of Secrets, implying she has no issue saying his name. Yet now in Order of the Phoenix it's supposed to be a big deal that she says his name? It's just retarded to me. 😒 More examples of how stupidly the movies were handled.

This is my favorite of the movies and it's the one where I think the movie is actually better than the book... I think the scenes at the ministry are more focused and visually stunning and overall I just enjoy Harry more in the movie... I know it's an unpopular opinion, don't hate me!
