Yeah, PoA definitely has a major tonal shift from the first two; director Alfonso Couran (sp?) brought a vibe similar to what you might get from Guiellrmo del Toro, I think. And I loved the darker tone, too. It really does feel more like a progression than the first two movies which just felt too similar in tone to me. Also; I wonder if "here's the thing about that; shut the hell up about that" is gonna replace "I'm gonna need you to get ALL the way off my back about that"? I wouldn't mind, I like both. Maybe he'll use both.

Man-'O-Man! I really wish these movies had gotten another draft or two... they all worked perfectly in theaters when the they were just allowed to wash over us but after rewatches... 😬YEESH😬 I'm so glad that he decided to do the individual movies... these are so funny 🤣 ...and they may not hold up (plot-wise) but I DO still love 'em 🤷‍♂️

It's explained in the books that only Marauders can see other Marauders on the map. Harry doesn't see Peter, Lupin does.

Fun fact, they had to change a bit in the end credits due to the fact that there was feet of a boy and girl on the marauders map and the position of the feet indicated they were having sex

You may love it so much because Alfonso Cuarón brought a new feel, & let the actors react in a more realistic manner. I love it because it brought in one of my favourite actors playing my favourite character, as well! (Thewlis as Lupin!) My biggest problems with the film were Steve Kloves taking an important moment from Ron and giving it to Hermione, and how much we didn’t learn about the Marauders. But then, I’m a massive nerd, so I figured some disappointments were coming my way with the adaptations. I’ve learnt to not get too stressed about that. Great reaction as always!

Great reaction! I loved the PoA movie but it does feel like a transitional movie. You have a mostly serious story (and a darker tone) with a couple comic-y moments that feel more like the first two movies but out of place here. PoA, GoF and OotP were my favorites.

This one is my favorite Harry Potter movie too and the only one I really like. It is very dynamic and the plot is really fluid (all the other ones have a lot of moments were the pace is too slow). I also like the dark but chill aesthetic and vibes it has. But yeah, it also has a lot of plot holes lol

Honestly this pitch meeting has way too many good quotes for me to choose from, but here are some of my favorites: "'So then Dumbledore gives his annual opening speech, you know, about all the different ways the kids might die this year.' 'Oh this guys freaking HATES when kids are safe!' 'He really does!' "Wow wow wow wow... (*50 years later)... wow." "'So the whooping willow freaking picks up Hermione and sends her spinning around in the air like crazy.' 'Uh oh.' 'And as she's whizzing on by, she picks up Harry with one arm and drags him along too.' 'I feel like that would snap her arm.' 'Yeah no, she's got like super strength for this one, so don't worry about it.'" "'Tree holes are tight!' 'Gross, sir!'" "'And so all that works out well, but Sirius gets captured because now that Wormtail is gone, there's nobody to prove his innocence.' 'Can they maybe use a truth potion or do that thing where they pull memories out of people's heads?' 'Oh well here's the thing about that, shut up about that.' 'Oh that's super mean.'" Once again, Michael (or Mike if that is fine, or should I say OMM out of respect? I don't want to be inappropriate or disrespectful.), I loved the reaction, and all of your others, especially for the fact that you wait until the end to give your thoughts, as some people stop and comment during the reaction, which takes some people out of the immersion. Sorry for asking this once again, but if you want to consider some recommendations for reaction content in the future, I recommend the Street fighter movie honest trailer, the live action The Last Airbender honest trailer, the honest trailer that is for BOTH of the live action g.i joe movies, and the ones I am most looking forward to seeing your reaction of, the honest trailer for the Adam West Batman movie , and both of the Cosmonaut Variety Hour videos about the Spider man Sam Raimi trilogy and amazing Spider-Man duology (in that order, and although it is somewhat disliked due to what seems like unfair criticisms, it is honestly just exaggerated for humor, but it works really well and both Cosmonaut videos are fun to watch, so watch them back to back in two separate reactions if you can). With that being said, please consider my suggestions if you want to, and thanks again for the reaction. :)

I know I'm late to the Harry Potter reactions but, was this stuff handled differently in the books or something? I know big franchises like this will always have plot holes and bizarre character motivations and stuff, but both the books and the movies just seem frustrating to me as someone who never read the books and picked Walk the Line (the Johnny Cash movie) over seeing the third (?) one in theatres. I get forgiving plot holes as a Marvel and Star Wars fan, but I don't quite get it for Harry Potter...suppose it's kinda the same thing in that I'm familiar with (and love) their source materials? That must be it, right?

Man, I tell you... each movie seemed more off from the books from the next. This book was phenomenal. One of my favorite books until Goblet of Fire came out. I was a HUGE Harry Potter fan and the world that was created by Rowling. Too bad she's gone on a warpath. @@OsSas3 well that was also because Lumos is a pretty standard spell that only makes light and a patronus is a pretty high level spell. And because the ministry was trying to get Harry kicked out of Hogwarts so they didn’t care

@@mrfhd6227 in the book they say that there’s a trace on underaged wizards (16 or under) where they can track them if they use magic in places where it’s not allowed Once they turn 17 that trace is gone and they can use magic without being tracked

I think there is a blanket ban on underage magic (unless the wizard's life is in danger) because the ministry are just tracking underage wizards rather then knowing everything about their surroundings until they cast a spell. The ministry don't know if there's muggles around Harry unless he targets one with a spell and we already know that the have no real clue when it comes to underage magic because of book 2.

I hated this movie so much it killed any interest I had in any of the later movies. The biggest gripe I had with it was how everyone was in casual clothing. Then there was the way they made the expeliarmus spell so lame looking, no real force behind it like in the second film.
