Hi Dave, Looks like you had a cracking time up there. The views were tremendous. I liked the drone shot near the end (40" approx) where it skimmed over the tarn then the big reveal over the Irish Sea and Scafells, brilliant coupled with the music. The kit from Sweden looks the business. The detachable hood on the down jacket is a useful feature. I've never hiked up that side of the Lakes before,although I remember the hair raising journey in the car up Hardknott Pass. It's certainly on my radar now. ATB Dave .....and keep 'em coming M8.😊🙏👍

Absolutely stunning as always - both the scenery and your production. I take your point about Wainwright bagging. If what someone does is race to the top, tick a list then off to the next one it may suit them but to me spoils the walk. However one good thing about bagging them is it means that you finish up wandering over areas of the Lake District which you wouldn't normally think about visiting and as you do you discover new favourite places.

Awesome video, it's a long way to the Lakes from Bristol so I only manage to get up there once or twice a year, very jealous of you lucky lot up north who can pop up there on the weekend. I do have the Brecons nearby but there's something special about the Lake District for sure. My first Wainwright was Mungrisdale Common, I figured if I started out with so say, "the worst one" then every one I did afterwards would always be better in comparison. So far it's rang true but I don't have as many as you to compare to haha! Keep up the great videos, they make for fantastic inspiration to get out there where ever it may be 👍

@TheSoloSummiteer2 жыл бұрын
Big thanks Merky 👍. The “paid promotion” refers to the jacket and trousers that were sent to me by RR (that I don’t even need). I get contacted regularly by companies asking me to promote their stuff, but RR were the only one I’m interested in. I’m certainly not selling my soul. If you look at nearly all other channels they are asking for likes and subs, buy me a coffee, advert breaks during the video, promoting products left right and centre, etc. The pittance I make from KZbin doesn’t even cover my fuel costs for travelling around making these videos. I do this because I enjoy doing it, it’s as simple as that. All very real my friend. It’s keeping my going at the moment as I don’t have much else. Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻

Another amazing video Dave, love the ending with the music, brilliant. The weather has been awesome and I managed a two day wild camp at the beginning of it. The night time was amazing bright moon (As you said like someone shinning a torch) clear sky, it was like daytime, and apart from my tent pole braking, my roll matt having a slow leak and my Befree water bottle filter being solid in the cap part, which for the life of me can't workout why that happened, I had a great time LOL! One thing that was a nice little addition, as you mentioned, to my gear was the bottle holder that goes on the shoulder strap. You don't even realise its there, so cheers for that mate. I have looked on the RR website and everything I seem to like is not in stock? I'm either too fussy or they sell their stuff like hot cakes LOL! batteries flat Dave Aaaaaaadddddmmmiiiiinnn Ha! Ha!
