@@jamesspalten5977 You're not the ONLY one! 🤣🤣🤣 Believe it or not the Model 29 used in the first "Dirty Harry" movie was a custom-build by Smith & Wesson. The script called for an S&W .44 magnum but there were none to be had anywhere, the model just wasn't that popular so S&W only made a handful each year. They put Dirty Harry's Model 29 together from components S&W had on hand after the last production run as a special order. Needless to say after the movie came out they couldn't make 'em fast enough. For years!

Definitely the single most ridiculous shootout scene in the whole movie series. In the others Harry had his gun out and either at the ready or able to bring it up quickly enough. In real life he'd have gotten shot before he could have gotten two sentences out. The perps definitely wouldn't have just stood there and let him draw. They really should have stopped the movie series after The Enforcer. This one and The Dead Pool were just cartoons.

This scene never fails to make me laugh. Bad guys are sitting around hiding and not robbing until Harry leaves. Then they jump up and start waving their guns around and taking hostages BUT STILL NOT ROBBING. And it's in broad daylight, with huge picture windows showing all of the activity to the crowded streets. These guys are geniuses.
