Joe Basketball it’s just unavoidable that the Celtics will receive hate no matter how good they are. Being the most successful franchise and having a history like they do makes them hated by most fans of other teams, and the fact that they’re becoming good again scares people, which is why no one wants to admit it. People really just hate Boston teams in general, so the Celtics won’t get the respect they deserve until they win a championship. I have no doubt that they will get a title or multiple with this core in the coming seasons

As a Celtics fan all I can say is that after an up and down start to the season, everything looks to slow down for him. From the way he operates in the pick and roll to how comfortable he is on taking those step back 3s and how he finishes on the rim, he's a different player now. He's doing everything looks easier now. And when he go on an iso he don't look like a guy who'll over dribble and force a tough shot. Everytime he iso's he is a threat to shoot, drive or pass. The defender just keeps on guessing while his teammates still looks involved and a threat. So blessed as a C's fan to see Kemba and GH dominate early in the season, JB during December and JT weeks before and after the break. I don't like to overhype any of our players but this improvement from JT is just differentand special. Hope we can have Timelord back and everyone gone healthy. This year's gonna be special! ☘️

No transitional ad in a long time as I was looking fwd to the seamless transition to learn smtg..... :) 1. All valid pts & I'd like to add that Tatum has been much more focused in D & efforts vs LY, as v high % time in right spots, & he is guarding opposing top scorer a lot better when matched up using his length 2. We hv to give a lot of credit to their coaching staff & teammates as they worked out simple schemes using each players' strengths on offense & defense. 3. Smart (heart & soul of Celtics), Brown (huge improvement) & Theis (finally healthier) hv been doing all the difficult & dirty work esp on D while they did their part to knock down the open shots Tatum created for them. That's really good chemistry & Tatum cannot hv this success without his teammates. 3. Kemba is big upgrade on D to Kyrie, and even on offense where his willingness to do whatever role is needed in each possession (off ball, drive to draw fouls, draw defense & kick to open guy, iso under mismatch, even screener) shows the type of person he is. His demeanor is soooo different from Kyrie too.

Being completely honest with you, Boston should get someone like Seth Curry in PG, a stretch in PF or SF like Taurean Prince and a rim protecting stretch like Brook Lopez and they'll be unstoppable. This eruption is happening at a time when Kemba isn't out, which says a lot. They don't need an Allstar PG, they just need solid players to fit as role players for Tatum and Brown.

I feel Kyrie plays the same manner (not style) of game as Harden, but isn't as good at it. And James hasn't won championship yet. Curry is better than Kyrie. If not in talent, then definitely in playing for the team. Kyrie needs to reset his game, imo. Kyrie is certainly better than Kemba, but the team flourishes with Walker. Walker, with less talent, gets more out of his team. That's the kind of guy you WANT to play hard for, too. If Kyrie played more for the team, and to setup passes, etc. his teams would win more. I think that is why Kyrie gets bad feedback. 🤔 Interesting to see how Brooklyn goes when KD returns.... Not sure how Kyrie with KD is better than Kyrie with LBJ. Time will tell....
@HaveFunLosingBro4 жыл бұрын
@@willhooke Kyrie needs to learn how to sacrifice. In 2019 when Kyrie was with the Celtics, he should have realized there was discomfort in the locker room by the young guys & sacrificed for them. That's what great leaders do, they sacrifice for the greater good being a championship & earning the trust of his teammates. If Kyrie took a step back & allowed Tatum & Brown more offensive freedom & responsibilities, both Tatum & Brown would have lowered their discomfort with Kyrie & the team would have been much much better as a result.
