I started carnivore about a month ago. Loving it. Lost so much weight. I was at 199 lbs on May 29, 2024. I started carnivore on June 26. I'm now at 180 ibs. Strick carnivore. Cold turkey. Beef, butter, bacon, and eggs. Fish or shrimp cooked in butter when I don't feel like eating steaks. Now, I'm eating between 1 or .5 meals a day. Often times, 1 meal a day. I have arthritis but now, the pain is not so bad. There are long stretches were I don't have pain for several days instead of daily.
@triciaduffyauthor2 ай бұрын
I am 14 weeks in. When I started I resolved NOT to go strict carnivore. My reasoning was that it was better for my body to ease into a new way of eating and I would avoid the discomfort of unpleasant reactions. I also intuitively thought that the cravings would go away in time so there was no need to “force” my body to comply before it was ready to do so. Later I discovered this channel that was in line with the way I was approaching carnivore. Now I have a name - carnivore ish! I very much like the way Dr Eric describes entering in through this door or through that door. And I agree that we need to be more flexible. I think some people quit carnivore because they believe it has to be “strict carnivore” or nothing and we know that is a misconception. I felt intuitively that it was possible to choose a more flexible “version” yet still achieve results. It is important that the path we are following is sustainable. Bottom line is that I am happy following my carnivore ish life style because I am achieving the results that make me healthier and happier.

I went carnivore because my MS symptoms were worsening, and within four months I can already see a difference. My MS isn't gone, but after 120 days, my worst days now are about like my best days were before I started. For anyone with an autoimmune issue, this is a godsend!
@BringItOn311242 ай бұрын
Most autoimmune conditions are thought to start with gut permeability. Lectins are thought to play a role in this. If you want the most out of the carnivore diet, you may want to opt for the wording of 100% grass fed or grass fed/grass finished on beef products or pasture raised on chickens or eggs. If animals are eating grain, even if it's organic, their meat can contain lectins.

No, your wrong, people with autoimmune disease have a permeable gut. That means cows proteins seep into your bloodstream causing huge problems such as type 1 diabetes. I grew up eating rice, vegetables and meat for dinner with a piece of fruit at the end. My bathroom habits were very regular. As I learned to cook for my myself and my husband, I experimented with new recipes but substituted rice with pasta, potatoes and bread. No change in bathroom habits. Then I was reading about how to improve my diet by adding legumes. Boy, it caused a lot of bloating, gas and discomfort. The advocates of the legumes assured me not to worry because my digestive system would get used to digesting beans and the gas would go away. Nope! Three time a day during my lunch and coffee breaks I took a walk just to fart out as much gas as possible. Then I became pre-diabetic and attended Dr. Jason Fung’s metabolic clinic and changed to low carb and then keto. All the bloating went away and the poop became more solid, less in volume, and it came more infrequently. I feel a lot better now.

I thought my period disappeared 7 years ago bc of my birth control but after 3 weeks of going Carnivore it came back like I was 20 years old again. My joints no longer ache. I have a lot more energy and need less sleep. I almost never crave sugar and even when I rarely do it’s not that bad. I do still drink coffee w/cream and I use seasoning bc it doesn’t affect me. Home Made Electrolyte Mix. Yes about $20 to get started but you can make enough of this stuff to last a year. - 1 cup Salt Pure salt, such as sea salt, with no additives, such as anti-caking agents. - 4 tsp Potassium Chloride powder One brand of this ingredient is sold under the name "Nu-Salt - 3 capsules Magnesium glycinate powder This ingredient is available in the vitamin section at most grocery stores or pharmacies. Combine all ingredients. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of the electrolyte powder with 32 ounces of water. I find it is not a problem drinking it straight. However you can add flavoring and lo-carb sweeteners.

Thank you for your sound minded video. I gave the Carnivore food plan a 90 day trial….that was two years ago, and I decided to continue. I do drink a European size (large) cup of morning coffee with a scoop of flavored Collagen, whole cream, cinnamon, and Splenda. My find for satisfying a bit of crunch is pork rinds with sour cream..no carbs. Eggs, butter, some cheese two or three times a week, rib eye steak, and angus beef patties are the daily menu. Occasionally, I will indulge in spare ribs with a small amount of barbecue sauce. Not as strict a Carnivore as some, but I have had a successful weight loss, cleared brain fog, muscle strength increase, lowered blood pressure, no flatulence, no bloat, no indigestion, and other improvements, especially, generally peaceful moods…no anxiety, depression only a small normal amount for a recent widow. I am a Christian, and can honestly say that finding this way of eating has been a Godsend, and a blessing for me….

I think the key, and where carnivore and "keto" people should agree, is that low carb / high fat is the healthiest diet for humans. I prefer saturated fat from animals, but others may prefer poly or mono unsaturated fat from plants. Either way though, we don't need a lot of carbs to survive and thrive and we do need lots of protein and fat. It's that simple really, for me carnivore fits my needs perfect. My story is that I am 46 years old and a former competitive powerlifter. My old doctor, I fired her, saw that my blood work was very high for total cholesterol (only 204 lol) and immediately wanted me on statins. Everything else was in range (I don't agree with the ranges). I told her I wanted to try diet first, she said I needed to do Mediterranean diet. I was reluctant as I have ditched grains a long time ago and went keto nearly a decade ago but have been slacking since I quit competing. Anyway, after a lot of research I decided to go carnivore because it was advantageous for me to eat meat to get my protein needs (over 200g a day) and not have to eat for hours at a time. Plus we raise chickens so I have more eggs than a family can eat every day. Long story short, I feel awesome and have really never been stronger. All my chronic joint pain from years of powerlifting is completely gone, I had bad skin allergies and those are all gone too. In the past, if I so much as touched something new I would break out in hives. I don't even seem to get sunburns anymore which is so odd to me. I am so strong now I may actually compete again and I thought those days were long past me. My wife even ditched Wegovy and is kind of doing ketovore now. Every now and again I have some pineapple or fruit, but only for a treat because I want too not for health reasons. Blood work is great if you go by the new paradigm of HDL/Triglycerides and not worry so much about total cholesterol and LDL. I would say, anyone curious give it a try for 3 months and see what happens. It's not restrictive like people say, I eat everything I want to eat. I just don't want to eat plants and sugar, everything else is on the table. Forcing me to eat plants that taste bad is more restrictive imo.

Please, don't associate Trump and Carnivore. One is about being healthy and the other is a political view. They have 0 things in common. I could never support Trump just because of his insane standpoint on Ukraine.

I found Bella a few months ago. I started doing carnivore and I've lost over 20 pounds and cured my hypoglycemia. My skin looks good and my mood has improved a lot.

A true carnivore has a short intestine

@@w1975b We are omnivores so need a longer intestine to break down cellulose from the plants we eat A true carnivore like a lion has a short intestine because meat is easier to digest
@w1975b2 ай бұрын
@@bethsanders7775 humans can't digest fiber (cellulose), any bacteria we have that does only processes a very small amount. The appendix (3 inches) is vestigial (left over) and is meant to process fiber. Gorillas have a 4 foot cecum, huge difference. Cows have 4 stomachs, humans only have one. Obvious differences between animals meant to eat large amounts of plants and animals meant to eat other animals. Our gallbladders also show we're meant to consume quite a bit of fat. Plants don't contain all the nutrients we need, but do contain fiber (we can't break it down, it causes inflammation and physically blocks absorption of nutrients) and other antinutrients such as oxalates, lectins, phytates (there are hundreds more). There's also a difference between can and should. Tolerance of eating some plants is a survival function for humans, not the same thing as thriving. Not meant to be done every day.

Been carnivore for 2 months and had a cheat day yesterday for my bday and it was the worst day for my gut. I kept feeling extremely nauseous, constant hunger no satiety even tho my stomach was physically full, I had the shakes and the sugar high I felt made me feel disoriented and very much in a daze. It made me feel affirmed that going carnivore was the best thing I could have done for my health

I had an IUD before losing weight on keto & never had a period which I was told was normal. When I lost 120lbs I started having a regular period even with the IUD albeit light. I got pregnant 2 months after removing IUD & had a healthier pregnancy at 30 with my 2nd child than my first child at 15yrs old.

I started this eating Carnivore this year, It's legit and this beautiful Asian lady is speaking truth. She's one person I've followed sinse and got some great honest information from, My parents refuse to believe me when i try to talk to them about this subject. I chose to save my own health. It really works!🙏🏻🇬🇧

As soon (few hours later) as I eat some fruit my belly starts looking like a ball. And if I eat high oxilates fruit my face skin becomes inflamed.. small red bulges.

You don't like it?

@@ianstuart5660 Like what? That I look like a ball or that I have red bulges on the face? Of course I don't like it. :) The main issue for me is that 10 years ago I had sever stress for 6 months and I've damaged my gut.. got leaky gut. And as I didn't do anythnig at that time I'm alergic to everything now. So for me there is no other way then to be on Lion diet for some time, so that my gut heals. For the fruit I love them.. but I would rather be healthy then eat forbiden fruit. ;)

I have been on KETO / Carnivore for over 2 years and eat almost zero fiber. I have no trouble pooping at all. However, when I was on a low fat diet, I had to take fiber supplements, had cramps, and even had to take laxatives from time to time. Not only that but I also had heartburn. I have a whole tub of Metamucil on my shelf that has sat untouched for years.

Thank you for doing this type of video. I switched my diet 5 years ago to a keto style diet. I did the low inflammatory diet with no seed oils. It worked great. I was off insulin in 3 months, and resolved type 2 diabetes in 6 months, 8.2 A1C to 4.7. I also reversed kidney disease, acid reflux and most importantly I put arthritis in remission, which meant I could walk again. I have maintained the diet for the last 5 years, switching to carnivore 16 months ago. It appears the consensus of fiber being healthy is wrong. I was constipated most of my life with suggestions from doctors to increase fiber. Once I removed all fiber, the constipation went away. There appears to be a real issue with the medical community is accepting the scientific evidence available. I suggest everyone do their own research, because depenging on others (medical professionals) may mislead you to more healh problems.
