Been carnivore for over 4 years now and feeling great. My knees are in very bad shape and eating carbs puts me in a great deal of pain. I was sure I was heading toward a wheelchair situation before I started. When I switched to keto, I lost weight, but my knees still gave me problems. Switched to carnivore and I can walk again. Thank you LORD.

LOL I had a Chihuahua that had the worst toxic dog farts I have ever experienced. What was so funny is he would always watch us run out of the room and he would smell it himself and try to run but that is in a way futile. NGL he one day farted and me and my GF ran out of the room and he chased us and then we saw him actually figure it out and he started barking at his poop hole. from that day forward this dang dog would lay some gas out and then start growling and then would stare at his tail and for next five minutes he would attack his own butt with ferocity! He hated it so bad that thank God his body prevented his mouth from reaching his anus or all hell would of broke loose!

I am 14 weeks in. When I started I resolved NOT to go strict carnivore. My reasoning was that it was better for my body to ease into a new way of eating and I would avoid the discomfort of unpleasant reactions. I also intuitively thought that the cravings would go away in time so there was no need to “force” my body to comply before it was ready to do so. Later I discovered this channel that was in line with the way I was approaching carnivore. Now I have a name - carnivore ish! I very much like the way Dr Eric describes entering in through this door or through that door. And I agree that we need to be more flexible. I think some people quit carnivore because they believe it has to be “strict carnivore” or nothing and we know that is a misconception. I felt intuitively that it was possible to choose a more flexible “version” yet still achieve results. It is important that the path we are following is sustainable. Bottom line is that I am happy following my carnivore ish life style because I am achieving the results that make me healthier and happier.

I grew up eating rice, vegetables and meat for dinner with a piece of fruit at the end. My bathroom habits were very regular. As I learned to cook for my myself and my husband, I experimented with new recipes but substituted rice with pasta, potatoes and bread. No change in bathroom habits. Then I was reading about how to improve my diet by adding legumes. Boy, it caused a lot of bloating, gas and discomfort. The advocates of the legumes assured me not to worry because my digestive system would get used to digesting beans and the gas would go away. Nope! Three time a day during my lunch and coffee breaks I took a walk just to fart out as much gas as possible. Then I became pre-diabetic and attended Dr. Jason Fung’s metabolic clinic and changed to low carb and then keto. All the bloating went away and the poop became more solid, less in volume, and it came more infrequently. I feel a lot better now.

@BringItOn31124
@BringItOn31124 6 ай бұрын
Most autoimmune conditions are thought to start with gut permeability. Lectins are thought to play a role in this. If you want the most out of the carnivore diet, you may want to opt for the wording of 100% grass fed or grass fed/grass finished on beef products or pasture raised on chickens or eggs. If animals are eating grain, even if it's organic, their meat can contain lectins.

No, your wrong, people with autoimmune disease have a permeable gut. That means cows proteins seep into your bloodstream causing huge problems such as type 1 diabetes. If I eat alot of meat or go 100% carnivore I'll die and or at least acquire huge damage and uncurable diseases. Very funny comment. Yeah she certainly leverages her Asian beauty, and she is an astute businesswoman. I don’t watch her channel because I tend to avoid influencers that attract clicks and subscribers through sexiness. Grumpy old man? Perhaps. I chose to support quality content that is devoid of clickbait. Ps. I should mention that I greatly respect her for covering the less than sexy body function issues of menstruating and bowel movements. She could say nothing and not risk loosing a few subscribers. But she bravely goes there. Good on you girl 🤨

Beef, butter, bacon, and eggs. Fish or shrimp cooked in butter when I don't feel like eating steaks. Now, I'm eating between 1 or .5 meals a day. Often times, 1 meal a day. I have arthritis but now, the pain is not so bad. There are long stretches were I don't have pain for several days instead of daily.

I have a sneaking suspicion that folks panic when they learn about this lifestyle. They refuse to accept it and hope to God that it isn’t true. If they make enough of a fuss then it all may just go away and they don’t have to give up the pizza and donuts. Food that creates a false sense of reward and comfort. It’s anger that lashes out at steak and butter girl and others like her. It is darkest before the dawn and most people do not want to suffer in making the right nutrition choices but they suffer in the long run as health breaks down.

No counting carbs, less time in the kitchen, less time shopping. Give it a whirl. Hang out in all the low carb/keto/carnivore spaces. Bring your brain around to the thought that what you eat should be for nutrition, not entertainment. All the best.

Plus, make sure you read every label and cook your own food. I went down two dress sizes on keto and another size when I went carnivore. Oh yes, you will need the electrolytes. I did a keto diet for 7 weeks and then carnivore for 30 days. It has been 25 years since I felt as good. I do go to gym regularly but, during that period I lost 6kg could do 10 pull-ups again and lost no strength in any of my resistance exercise. I had both hips replaced in 2013 and 2014 and hadn’t run since c2000. On February this year, after c25 days into carnivore, I did 70 minutes of weights including 3 sets of 20reps with 140kg. An hour later I ran six miles through woodland and felt good. I concede it could be placebo but who cares if you feel this good. Thank you for your sound minded video. I gave the Carnivore food plan a 90 day trial….that was two years ago, and I decided to continue. I do drink a European size (large) cup of morning coffee with a scoop of flavored Collagen, whole cream, cinnamon, and Splenda. My find for satisfying a bit of crunch is pork rinds with sour cream..no carbs. Eggs, butter, some cheese two or three times a week, rib eye steak, and angus beef patties are the daily menu. Occasionally, I will indulge in spare ribs with a small amount of barbecue sauce. Not as strict a Carnivore as some, but I have had a successful weight loss, cleared brain fog, muscle strength increase, lowered blood pressure, no flatulence, no bloat, no indigestion, and other improvements, especially, generally peaceful moods…no anxiety, depression only a small normal amount for a recent widow. The 100% carnivore diet based on my experience is not good. You will need electrolytes, and the farm beef will not provide magnesium, this is why I need purple potatoes and avocado and lemons. Eating sticks of butter, in my opinion is literally insane, I would never do that. I think that is insane.

So no difference for me there in the back end, regardless of diet. My 2c. Other things to consider: I have quite rigid times for sleep, due to my work (farming community). I'm in bed and asleep by 20h00, occasionally slightly earlier, and wake up at 4h00 like clockwork. Sometimes perhaps 15 mins early. Perhaps this helps with regularity on the toilet. I’ve been missing my entire large intestine and only have 1/3 my small intestine. I find 80-100g of protein, low carb, low fat works for me. But consistency is challenging. I’ll get there.

Been carnivore for 2 months and had a cheat day yesterday for my bday and it was the worst day for my gut. I kept feeling extremely nauseous, constant hunger no satiety even tho my stomach was physically full, I had the shakes and the sugar high I felt made me feel disoriented and very much in a daze. It made me feel affirmed that going carnivore was the best thing I could have done for my health

I've been on the Lion Diet for 7 months now. I have better energy with increased fat:protein ratio. I experience horrendous muscle cramps despite drinking plenty of water. Salt doesn't help me, but 600 milligrams of potassium does. Each body is unique in its needs.

Get some spray magnesium oil. Do a few sprays on your tummy in the am and a few spays your calves at night and rub in. Some people spray on their feet. It has donewonders for me.

@yah9489 I've tried magnesium oils, and plenty of it! However, it is not magnesium my body lacks - it's potassium. So, the multitudes of magnesium I've tried, topicals and otherwise, did not provide relief.

I can testify to the no gas when doing carnivore and gas to a lesser or larger extent (onions anyone?) when adding some veg back in. It is noticeable because of the absence of gas when sticking to animal based. Also, adding veg back in means 'why are my joints suddenly aching?" And yes, less wastage going through the system.

It just seems like eating whole foods can lead to a healthier lifestyle. I don’t think there’s any one diet that leads to absolutely perfect health. I think you can eat high fat high protein diets and be healthy, I also believe that you can eat some vegetables and fruit and minimally processed grains with your meat and still be healthy. Biggest thing is avoiding processed foods. If you avoid toxins and garbage food then you won’t really get ill. I’m going to try eating more meat, it’s just so expensive. Lots of ground beef and pork for me I suppose. I do already eat a lot of butter because I know the fat is very important.

I was always a freak to my ex husband because I only pooped 1 or 2 times a week, and that was 'before' my carnivore journey. It was always 'normal' for me, so I can't understand why we're all expected to be robots and go daily. On carnivore I'm regular at once every 8 to 10 days...not stomach issues and I feel amazing!

What's really sad is that dogma and ideology very often becomes entangled in dismissing people's positive real world experiences that have solid scientific reasoning behind them. I've followed a mostly low carbohydrate ketogenic diet on/off for the last few years and it's the only thing that has made any progress in treating my chronic debilitating depression (which I've suffered from for over a decade). If that means that I pooh less each week or have a heart attack at some point, that's so much better than being bed bound and suicidal. Thanks Dr. Westman for this content. 😍

I'm new to the carnivore world and have only been on it a couple of months. I am happy with the results so far. I have lost a little bit of weight though I wasn't trying to, nor did I want to, it just happened. I had to increase what I was eating. It is true that you poop less. I'm down to 2 maybe 3 times a week and the volume has been reduced by at least 75% and as high as 90%.

I got pregnant 2 months after removing IUD & had a healthier pregnancy at 30 with my 2nd child than my first child at 15yrs old.

It attracts enough negative attention simply to suggest the benefits of something that's opposite to what we're programmed to believe, and she's got to be the most prominent and comprehensive source of carnivore diet guidance on KZbin, so of course she's targeted this way. As other commenters have said, she's also slim, healthy, pretty, intelligent, articulate and with musical talent, so that only makes bitter people hate her even more.

The main argument against carnivore is simply that humans aren't carnivores. Our teeth prove that we're omnivores. The real question is, is carnivore really the reason for improved health, or is it simply that you cut out all sugar and other junk food while on the carnivore diet? There are vegetarians, even professional athletes, who are healthy because they don't eat sugar and junk good.

I have been on KETO / Carnivore for over 2 years and eat almost zero fiber. I have no trouble pooping at all. However, when I was on a low fat diet, I had to take fiber supplements, had cramps, and even had to take laxatives from time to time. Not only that but I also had heartburn. I have a whole tub of Metamucil on my shelf that has sat untouched for years.
