I saw Transformers One. The first act is indeed like the trailer. But it has a turning point and then it’s much more serious and action orientated. It’s a good reboot overall and I can see it picking up fans on streaming. ScarJo is actually a very charming voice actress. Third best Transformers movie after the original animated movie and Bumblebee

I personally loved Gen1, and them killing off most of Gen1 to make way for new toys really bothered me. I never liked Rodimus Prime, nor did I like Galvatron. I could have accepted Megatron with a new body, but new personality(and voice actor) created from Megatron rubbed me the wrong way. Bumblebee was great, though. Was it kiddie crap? Yeah, but so was the Gen1 cartoon from the 1980s. The big problem with the Michael Bay movies and the original Transformers movie was that they killed off characters. It's kind of ridiculous to have lore where these things have been fighting for centuries and then show them getting offed as easily as they were.

I have no interest in seeing any of these new films. Transformers One is great, I've seen it 3 times already and honestly it is movie that the TF fans have been asking for since the '07 movie. Fans wanted a TF based on Cybertron with no humans in it and thats what we got. Unfortunately the timing isnt helping and the marketing for the movie especially the first trailer shot the movie down. It starts off a little kiddy for about 30 minutes and then it turns dark and really when D16 fully becomes Megatron. This movie is supposed to be a total reboot and be a trilogy that leads into the War for Cybertron like games. This movie is gonna be carried by the fans unfortunately. Im a hard core G1er and I'm in several Transformers Facebook groups and alot of guys especially the really cranky ones actually love it. Alot are saying its a 10/10. Me personally its a 9.5/10. For reasons i didn't like Eltia telling Prime she was better than him but when she said that he was Orin Pax and when he was Prime he flipped it on her. They took from all the lore including IDW comics. You know how many times the origins of Prime and Megatron along with a few others in the G1 cartoon?? This is a full reboot and I'm cool with that. Maybe in the next one we'll have a flashback of Megatron back when he was a gladiator in the pits of Icon. There hasnt been anything good since TF Prime, RID 2015 was flat and it irritates me its called Robot in Disgusted and share the same name with my love of 2000/20001 Car Robots/RID. Me I prefer physical myself, then there's the fact I currently have DSL, streaming just ISN'T a thing I can do with 150gb of data a month. They really need to make physical media again cause the ONLY way I was able to watch season 1 and 2 of Mando was because Disney got desperate for cash and released them on Bluray...Season 3 is notably missing. Physical media is king to me even though it can degrade over time (I got a music CD with disc rot) but at the very least if you have a portable player you don't need internet if the power goes out to watch something. I got Hurricane Helene barreling down the way for the south and I'm likely to lose power for at minimum a couple hours to two days MINIMUM. I don't have a portable bluray player sadly...really gonna have to get my hands on a portable DVD/Bluray player with a screen before next hurricane season.

I have seen a lot of positive reviews for the movie and the toys look good too. I don't get why the movie bombed. The movie is good. Some people say it is the best TF movie so we have ever had.

Love the 86’ movie and I am also a G1 fan. Believe me, ur not going to miss Cullen or Welker in this one. There actually is no music throughout the film, I think they knew better than trying to top the original movie score from 86’ movie. It tells a better story than all live action movies and pulls enough source materials from the animation. I believe there is source material from the comics too, haven’t really read into them. I’d give it a chance guys, u won’t be disappointed.

I have never moved to BluRay or 4K or whatever. I have a DVD player that works fine, and I can get a lot of movies on DVD; I see no need to spend a lot of money on a newer format. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

DVD resolution is very outdated for modern TVs. 4K discs usually put more bitrate data to the image and sound compared to streaming services.

I'm 50 year old original Transformer (G1 or very first Transformers from the 80s) and I LOVE this movie! I think a lot of it is really bad marketing. Also this is the first time in how long that there is anything worthy to watch at theatres! We have three huge awesome films (Deadpool and Wolverine, Beetlegeise Beetlegeise and now TF One). My biggest gripe and something that maybe hurting Hasbro is there is nothing really on shelves to buy. There's some "kiddie" toys but I want the Studio Series (geared towards older crowd but still fun for most ages). That should be out there. Its planned to come out soon but . . .

Well the last few live action movies didn't do so hot either. The movies did well at first but after Dark of the Moon the diminishing returns were clear, and The Last Knight was the kick-off of fans basically saying 'no more'. Bumblebee was a turn around but fan trust was damaged, but it did garner some back... then they smashed it with Rise of the Beasts with its mixed reception. Bad marketing is what hurt this movie, it's initial trailers did not do it justice.

Based on the first trailer released for this movie, I could not tell you how uninterested in it I was. The marketing in my opinion was terrible. Then I saw all the positive reviews for the movie and it get me curious about the movie. I went from someone that was totally uninterested in the movie, to someone that really loved the movie. Really sad to see the film is not doing better in the box office.

Transformers franchise is the number one selling toy of all time and it has been going strong for 40 years with both children and adult collectors. It doesn't matter if a movie flops at the box office, because with Transformers, it's always been about the action figures. Transformers is Hasbro's biggest the largest selling IP and that will not change anytime soon.

Its an ok movie. Not good but has some moments. Retconning Prime and Megatron's origin story in an origin type movie is beyond stupid. This is my theory on why it flopped. OG fans saw the origins for Prime and Megatron and said Nope.

I wanted the movie to do well even if I didn’t go see it. Three reasons why I have not seen it: 1) I didn’t like what i saw in the ads 2) I’m very skeptical of anything that comes across as being woke 3) financial aspect,money is tight nowadays, have to choose wisely where I’m going to spent my money, I have a family of five, movie theaters are expensive…I’m sure this the reason why a lot of families are not going.

It’s really a shame, because i think Rise of the Beasts was the best Transformers movie. Optimus actually had a decent arc. The lowest point of the franchise was The Last Knight, and that wrung the last bit of fan goodwill out of the franchise. It killed Bumblebee and RotB. As for One, well, i’m not supporting an obvious reboot to pry the role of Prime away from Peter Cullen.
