My cats fortunately are quite chill at the vet (I assume vet techs don't fib about cats being calm sweethearts with them, since it's a bit out of the ordinary? It amuses me to think that they might be buttering me up), but after I started watching this channel, I started trimming their claws before any vet visit just in case!

My older cat loves the vet because the nice vet lady gives her chin scritches. But the day I tried to bathe her, I had to get a new shower curtain. Fortunately she's a short hair that loves to groom and doesn't mind a wipe down with a damp cloth if she really needs it.

My parents' cat once came back with a big abscess on the face (he is still pretty wild and lives outside most part of the time). We took him to the vet, which he is absolutely not used to and he was very anxious in his cage. But once the vet took care of him, he was SO calm. I never thought a cat, an especially our cat, could be this calm while someone was popping and cleaning his abscess (which looked gross and painful tbh). The vet didn't even had to cut his claws. Some cats can be full of surprises I guess 😂

I think both are calmer than mine lol. My Lily was a total diva and had to be sedated any time she got shaved at the vet. At home she’d only behave herself if we vacuumed her while shaving 😂

Reminds me of the time my sister gave our cat a bath. She was a LOT younger, and we didn't realize what all she was doing until our normally super fluffy calico came downstairs, looked at me and my mom with a mixture of sadness and madness, and went to sit in the corner, facing the walls until she dried off. It was so unexpected we couldn't help but laugh... and gave her plenty of loves when she left the corner. The one and only bath we gave her.

I had a cat named Lily. She was pure white with blue eyes, and she didn't have the deaf gene that some blue eyed white cats have. She loved me, and one day when I caught a stomach virus and was so sick I wanted to die, she stayed at my side all day till I was better.

People always obsess about how empathetic dogs are and forget that cats are capable of the same! I had a few months where I was sick and basically unable to move from the sofa. My cat Pandora would come and lie on top of me and keep me warm. It was very out of the ordinary for her because she isn't usually the cuddly type but it was super sweet to see how much she actually cares.

But I bet the sanity of their owners is important to cats too, and that they sometimes like to bless us with their cuddles. It's male cats with blue eyes that are deaf, not females. My family had a white, blue-eyed female when I was growing up and that cat had EXCELLENT hearing! She'd be snoozing on my parents' bed on the second flood and if you shook a can of whipped cream on the first floor, she'd ZOOMZOOM right on down to get some. 😂

I had a cat named Lily. This past October, I had to put her down due to cancer. She was pure white, crystal clear blue eyes, and not deaf, but she had sensitive hearing. Any loud noise, she did not like. RIP Lily. I hope you are in a better place and not in pain.

Her regal daggers were about as long as Persephone's when I clipped them earlier today, so thank you for confirming my decision to do so ('Seph doesn't claw on purpose, only when her nails are too long ). I love how calm this cat is! The little bap she gives the shower head is adorable!
