Righteous show, Bruddah Andy. Thanks for doing the research on the origin of the word "Manapua"...... I didn't know about the how the word really came to be and now both me and the wife got the small-kine craving for the bugga. The disappointed "K-den" was perfect with the eye-rolling action....we almost could hear your eyeballs scraping the eyelids, it was that mean............The show keeps getting better and better every day. Manapua is "Char siu bao" in Cantonese Chinese. Man- I couldn't wait for the manapua man every lunch time at school! Or we would go down the street for bento box or plate lunch. Those were the times and those were the grinds!

Hey, Andy, Are tourists and salespeople the only ones who use the word "Mahalo"? Is there a proper response to a thank you other than saying "you're welcome"? You use the words brah and bruddu to refer to men; is there a pidgin word to refer to women and girls like the girls you spoke to at Zippy's? I visited my dad in Lahaina years ago (he lived there for 20 years) and saw your All in the Ohana about the idol (I think it was) that was found in the yard. Do I have that right? What year was that? Will there be more Ohana shows on youtube in the foreseeable future? Mahalo plenty (was my dad being a stupid haole when he said that?)
@bodyboardingchronicles6023 жыл бұрын
Remember 'Ohana our ancestor's were discritive when using word's. Man A Pua = Manapua. Ho'o is to do. S, make it Personal. Example: that's my boy's. T, represent the terrestrial being. Get choke Short Hand writing in language. Even Hawai'iana. You see ho'o? Example: S ho'o t's , Sc ho'o l. C, is for the creature / child. L, is for Lord. Some letter's are Connector's. Some are blends. Phonics? Who gets deep Andy? Not you Hawai'ian! 👊😎 Learn language and you'll see all the truth. Bro... majority of our word's were Polynesian. Poly-n-Es -Ia-n = Polynesian. Can you break the word down? ...and no make any kind story's? Most can't. Polynesian pre language to Hawai'iana. Hawai'iana Pre-language to English. 1800's 153 dialects recorded. When will our Official act like leader's and correct the wrong? Example of correct spelling... Alo Ha. O Ahu. Kala E Loa. Ma Kan A. Kan E'o He. Kan E. Ma Ka Pu'u. Ka Pa Hulu. Ma Ke Wai. Ma Ka Kilo. Ka Pole I. Wahia Wa. Wa I'a Nae. Al i'i. Ma ili. Mau Na.Kea Mah Alo. Think about Ha Loa story? E La Hui Malama Hawai'i. One Team 👊😎
