Great video!! How did you get the chain cover off? Seems like metal frame prevents being able to remove it. Thanks
@joewoodford94284 жыл бұрын
@Andy Tarr, its a little tricky, I think I remember loosening drive wheel (the black plastic wheel) bearings and it dropped out, but putting it back on was a little more challenging I used a large screwdriver to bump it over the chain and cogs.

Hello Joe. Very helpful video. Fortunately my bracket has not broken and all I was doing was a belt change. I removed my vari-drive which seems to have the same mounting bracket as yours (with a slot to adjust tension and screw to fix). Ive noticed on some Sprint 41 drawings that the vari-drive has a spring fitted to it - but mine doesnt (and its not obvious where on the varidrive mounting bracket it would fit). Did yours have a spring on the vari drive for tension? I cant see in your vid a spring so wonder if Hayter changed the design to do away with it? Thanks

@Paul McConnell , I looked over the mower and the Hayter 41 parts manual and can not see anything to suggest the vari drive uses a tension spring. Maybe its in built in the unit?

@@joewoodford9428 Hello Joe. For the benefit of others I received this reply from the Hayter Customer Care Team. Much respect to them for answering! "The code619E does not have a spring attached to the variator assembly. We thank you for your inquiry and remain at your service for any other inquiries". Kind Regards, The Hayter Customer Care Team

Hi Joe, great video, very good detail. I am looking at my father's mower which has lost drive and it appears that the bracket which broke on you is 'swinging in the breeze' unattached to the chassis, do you happen to know the size of the fixing bolts ?
@joewoodford94284 жыл бұрын
@C Challinor, bolts come with the bracket, they are 30mm long and about 5mm wide. You can buy separately (Hayter 09364 SETSCREW M6 X 25) and the kit with bolts is Hayter KIT MOUNTING BEARING SPIRIT - Part No: 111-1116. I got these from www.diyspareparts.com or you could look them up on ebay. If this was helpful please think to Like and Subscribe to, as it helps the Channel :)

Mine has gone “wonky” it tilts from the front right wheel to the left rear side. Any ideas?
@joewoodford94284 жыл бұрын
@Ricky Downing, think I had a similar issue. Take a look at the front left and right wheels. There is an pins connected on both of these which support the wheel bracket as you move the height of the mover up and down. The one of the left of mine had sheared off. My fix was to find a long bolt, a couple of washers and two nuts to replace the broken part.

You just skipped the most important part! Fitting the gearbox back in position 🙁
@joewoodford94282 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that, it was fiddly that is all from memory though. But can be done with little patients and I think some screw drivers to lever it into place.

Great video, I a struggling to get the drive chain cover off, does it just need a good pull once the single bolt is out?
