I remember the screaming doll scene, god it freaked me out as a kid. It still does even now that I’m 21. As for the Lion and bear segment, I didn’t see it when it aired but I remember seeing it on a dvd. I was unnerved by it.

The magic house of the Teletubbies also scared me when i was a kid. Because when the puppet stops screaming at the last moment. He looked at you with big eyes and you can easily see his pupils and that was so unbelievable terrifying.

I think I remember watching the Teletubbies, even I haven't seen any of these controversial segments. I'm glad I didn't, because I feel really bad for these kids who have seen these segments (especially the lion and bear segment)! Poor kids… Also, great video!

Honestly almost all of these segments are pretty nostalgic to me, dare I say my favorite segments of the show. Most of them were consistently good for the audience they were catered towards, but I can certainly understand the creepiness of the Pink House, that made me very uncomfortable as a kid even with the US edits. Other than that, it was always fun to watch these, I sometimes still watch them for nostalgia purposes

The only one that truly scared me was the doll. I never saw the Lion and the Bear growing up. And I never thought the Tap Dancing Bear was scary. I thought it was a fun dancing skit I saw growing up.

I’m one of the lucky people that never saw the bear and the lion event when I was young. I never found the puppet to be scary though (I maybe saw the non scary version). The only event that scared me when I was younger was the animal parade event, the main reason being the music. The beginning of the music was fine, but it got creepy in the middle and end of the music. The middle part and the end part of the music made me feel like if those animals see you they will get you. It doesn’t scare me as much now, but I do get a little feeling of it when hear the music parts that I mentioned. One more thing I’ll say is that I feel like removing the magical event section in the new Teletubbies made it lose its charm a little bit for me in my opinion. I honestly felt like they could’ve still made magical events, they would just have to be careful on which magical event they make. I still love the Teletubbies and still have lovely memories of the show.

I only remember watching Lithuanian versions for Teletubbies since i live in Lithuania. And i watched Funny Day Lithuanian version, and the Puppet was silent when he was wandering around the house. The Magic Tree was also my favorite

This may sound irrelevant to the topic, but I did see the magic house once when I was a kid, and it was the us version, if I'm correct, but what DID use to scare me was the windmill, and the noo noo, first off, I never expected to freak out over the noo noo, because whenever I hear his sucking and slurping sounds, I instantly hide myself, had something to do with his blank stare, and those god for saken, and unnecessary close ups of the freaking eyes. Holy Christ, I get horrified by those freaky eyes, and as for the windmill, its not the windmill in general, but rather the parts when the windmill suddenly starts spinning out of nowhere, but the one sequence of the windmill that did kinda spook me was the windmill stopping sequence, holy hell, that crap scared the piss outta me, all I see is the windmill stopping, and an eerie song playing with it, and it stops in almost every episode that I can think of, but years later, I manned up and faced my fears of the noo noo, and the windmill by watching it constantly until my fears went away, but still, those two we're my REAL childhood fears.

Man, I used to watch this when I was 3, and yes, it had the lion and the bear. Scared the absolute crud out of me. Ironicly I also had VHS types of the show also. Watched a few episodes that had the bear n the lion, and I remember stop watching the show completely. From being too scared to night terrors. But watching this as an adult made me go man this cutscene now is just disturbing.

Good video. Theres a comical irony in a Fnaf animatronic being terrified of these two, but I very much relate lol. Used to have frequent nightmares of the Lion and Bear invading my home and stalking me as a child. It honestly felt like a david lynch film back then.

I had the “Pleasure” of watching the Lion And Bear Original Sketch on TV. It was creepy but not as bad as the Dancing Bear. As for the Magic House, that was extremely funny, especially when he screamed. I didn't get how people would be scared of it. Whilst kids were crying, I was straight up laughing my ass off. I feel bad for everyone who was scared of it.

The magical events scared me a little. They were unlike any other Teletubbies segments. I’d describe them as when everything goes abnormal, and something creepy appears in Teletubbyland. The only two I remember were the dancing bear and the three ships. The ships scared me more than the dancing bear. At the end, there was a loud, disturbing sound that played right before the magic windmill was shown. What almost didn’t scare me at all about the three ships was seeing these (barges? tugboats?) on what I thought was an ocean in the outskirts of Teletubbyland. The dancing bear, not as much. I actually found how the doors to the UFO the bear came in open and close super satisfying.

Imo The Lion and Bear segment is a night fueling Big Lipped Alligator Moment (most of the Teletubbies segment were the Big Lipped Alligator Moments since they came out of nowhere and when they were done, The Teletubbies never spoke of it again) You do have a point on how that segment was banned

I never seen "The Lion and the Bear" segment as a kid, because I was born and saw the show in the early 2000's, but I did remember seeing "The Dolly" segment and that one didn't scared me, because I lived in the US.

As someone who lives in USA, I was spared of such scariness. However, the only magical event sketch that actually did frighten me was the ships sketch. I suppose it's because Teletubbyland spontaneously flooded, the ships came out of nowhere, seemingly had no drivers and got close to the camera, making it look like they would leap out of the TV.

I thought I hadn't even realised that 1997 Teletubbies episode called The Lion and Bear was banned from the telly since 1999. Many parents found the sketch was way too frightening for small kids especially in America 🇺🇸. Anyway I used to love Teletubbies when I was a kid and Tinky Winky was my favourite character. I am bit too old for Teletubbies but I actually don't dislike them. I know Teletubbies can be very silly. I used to be a fan of Teletubbies when I was a kid as well. I still don't care there is a 2015 reboot of Teletubbies so I don't want to know anything about it at all. I'm afraid I'll just have to forget about the reboot series of Teletubbies and move on. well i searched of the lion can eat bear and this is an anwser i got acordding to google: A bear would win a fight against a lion. Bears have the advantage in just about every aspect, from size to offensive capabilities. The only time that a lion would win is if it managed to sneak up and ambush a bear, leaping onto it and biting into its head with such power that it shattered the skill. also i do remember that scene about the lion and bear i think i seen it as a child i dont really remember my age at the time but i did have nightmares about it , i mean im not scared about it anymore but i do sometimes have nightmares about it but it happens sometimes

honestly the usa version of that puppet's singing is better then the UK version but i can understand why the uk version of the skit bugged people but strangely enough i wasn't scared of the lion and the bear skit when i first saw it and then i was excited to see the skit again when ever a episode came on tv though some people had complaints about the magic seasons tree and the 3 big boats being too menacing but i don't get that from the boats i mean it's just 3 boats sailing beautifully on the water

To be honest I didn't watch the banned episode of Teletubbies. I only watch one or two episodes in season 1. I never watch that so yeah. As a child the 4 Teletubbies didn't fear me but as a teen and adults creeps me out because their faces now they basically been memes being killed in Gmod. Probably fans make some creepypasts about did the bear killed the lion or the lion killed the bear and destroyed Teletubbie-Land and see the 4 sreacming to death. Hazah, lions don't hunt bears as they never coexist though India is the only country to have both wild lions and bears. Plus, there is one called the Atlas Bear Africa's only wild bear they went extinct in the 19th century.
