I'm a 58 year old American who has loved this song for roughly 45 years. Most Americans don't know Hazel or this song, but as an early teen I had to spend a couple of days in the hospital for a minor surgery. I loved music, so my parents bought a couple rock magazines and a book called Breaking Glass to read while in recovery. I loved the book and ended up reading it several times. Then one day I was lucky enough to find Hazel's soundtrack to the movie Breaking Glass. I absolutely loved the album, especially Will You. Then, being in pre-internet America I had to wait several years to finally see the movie. It seems that people usually move away from older songs, only to return to give them an occasional listen. But with Will You, I have listened to it steadily for nearly my whole life. How can I not? It's an amazing song.

It takes a performer with such confidence int heir talent that they leave the stage of their own performance when they are not needed as she did. At that point the instrumental was the thing, and so that attention should be on that.
