I was digging through vinyl at a whatever shop in my little small town a few months ago and found the original soundtrack for 3 bucks. I love Dylan, and this was his pet. It's a great listen. I got stoned out of my mind and listened to it. Then followed it up with the greatest hits double album. I really don't give a shit how old that makes me look.

I live in "Big Sky Country". North of the 49th parallel; and love horses and Western Movies and TV Shows. Growing up in the 1970's, I always enjoyed Slim Pickens in every role he played. Johnny Carson also liked him as well and had him on as a guest on the Tonight Show multiple times where Slim would perform Rodeo tricks and stunts. Slim was a real life Cowboy and Rodeo performer. I always wanted to go on a long Cattle Drive or perhaps a "Trail Ride" with Slim in the Back Country, untouched by Modern Man. I am sure it would have been a hoot. The things you feel like you've missed out on when you reach 60 years of age.

Years ago, a Dylan song was played in a college play. I recognized that it was a cover. I made a bet with a classmate who was in theater. He later acknowledged that I was right. This cover comes as close as any that I’ve heard since.

Probably in the top of best movies ever produced as it brings to light how the cattle conglomerates raped the Mexican people of their land, how Billy the Kid wasn't the bad person history wrote him to be (he went up against cattle conglomerates to aid the Mexican people and in doing so he became an outlaw), how one man sold his soul for money and sold out his best friend for money and notoriety. The landscape and photography in this movie is beautiful and the soundtrack is flawless as it keeps tempo with what is transpiring in the movie. Dylan's acting is, as with all he does, never disappointing. If you are lucky enough to find the vinyl grab it. You will not be sorry and will cherish this soundtrack as one of your favorites of all times. P.S. Look at the history Mexico that once owned half of the US before taken from them by the government. Never was taught in my textbooks growing up!
