He HAS BEEN Raised! (God raised Jesus from the dead)

Christians often quote the messenger at Jesus’s tomb: “He is risen!” Then people respond: “He is risen indeed!”.
But that English translation is not so accurate, and could even be deceiving. The declaration is not about what Jesus did to himself, but about what someone else, namely God, did to Jesus.
In New Testament Greek, the verb in the declaration is passive. Jesus was acted upon. He received the action of the verb. A more accurate declaration is “He was raised!” or, “He has been raised!”. That is, someone else raised Jesus.
Tens of times the Bible declares that someone other than Jesus himself raised Jesus from the dead, like the Apostle Peter in Acts 5:30, “The God of our fathers raised Jesus…”.

Hi Bill. I like to believe that Acts 14:11 was given to us with wisdom and foresight from our Father to let us know that "god in flesh" is truly a pagan belief. My trouble is reconciling this with Genesis chapter 18. I have thoughts for sure, but I'm curious about what you think. Thank you.

Yes, every miracle has been made by the Father because Jesus is not omnipotent "thank you for hearing me" (Lazarus' resurrection). Yet Jesus is God, the non-almighty God.

I don't know you, and I don't know where you are going with this, but this short video on its own, and some of the comments, would lead the unsuspecting to think that Jesus did not raise himself - except that he did (John 2:19, John 10:18). All three persons of the Trinity were involved in the resurrection of Jesus (The Father - Galatians 1:1, the Holy Spirit - 1 Peter 3:18). My advice to anyone watching this video or reading this thread is this... please be aware that those who believe in the Trinity and those who do not cannot logically consider each other to be of the same religion. These are two entirely different conceptions of God - two different gods. I personally believe the Trinity is the witness of scripture. You may not, and that's fine. But if so, only one of us can rightly say we are "Christian" or believe in "Jesus". If a Trinitarian and a non-Trinitarian both say they are followers of Jesus, one is wrong and/or lying. You need to make a decision. I believe Christ's true Church has made the decision, but each individual needs to make a decision as well - do you believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

Jn 4:24 Jesus tells us that God is spirit. If God is a trinity of persons and one of those persons is human, than God is not spirit. He would be part spirit part human.

Hi, and thanks for the comment. Yes, I believe in God the Father, in Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Son of God, and in the Spirit of God. I'm not a Trinitarian, who believe that all three are the same "essence" or being. True, the spirit of God is God's spirit, His power and presence. But Jesus of Nazareth is a human being, raised from the dead by God. As to John 2:19 and 10:18, if you are interested, see the link below. Interpreting John 2:19 and John 10:18 as the trinitarians do creates a stark contradiction with all the other texts that clearly state that Christ's God, Christ's Father, raised Jesus from the dead. When you look more closely at those two texts, Jesus is NOT claiming he is going to RESURECT HIMSELF .... Jesus is merely claiming that he will stand up (John 2:19) and that he will "take up his life again" (John 10:18). Jesus did both. When Jesus' God raised Jesus from the dead, Jesus stood up, and he took up his life again.
