Wow, that Rxa7 is so brilliant. The previous 10 or so moves had all the action on the King side. I was astonished to see the brilliancy suddenly on the a-file, and how it connects to the King side. I wasn't even paying attention to the Queen side half of the board! 😋

I played Rxa7 once in a similar position, where after my opponent took the rook back, I promptly checkmated him. So seeing Praggu play it here was fulfilling.

Firouzja got from around from 2690's-2700 to 2800 in a span of 1.5 years; Praggu is 2.5 years younger than Firouzja and is showing the same tenacity and potential if not greater than Ali Firo(which is my opinion); You make the conclusions not me.

#suggestion Hello Antonio, I would really enjoy seeing some games from the "old masters" featuring their "own variations", like Gruenfeld playing Gruenfeld or the Queen playing the Queen's Gambit ;) I know some of these already exist, however there are so many playlists on your channel that I couldnt quite find out if they were made specifically for this purpose or for special occasions. If the Rook just moves away to b8 after Rxa7, after the rook and queen exchange we have Rxb7+, but the knight can move to d7, protected by the bishop on h3. Would have been interesting to see the lines in that case. Maybe White didn't need to exchange in that case.

if rook b8, then rook capture b7 with check. That means it is back to similar position. If blocked by bishop or knight it is still game over as after all exchanges black will be down by whole rook.

Around move 21 onward, I kept seeing knight sacrifices on the pawn on g5. Not only to tear up the K-side but for example after 22. Qd4+ had black played Kh7 23. Nxg5+ allows Qd3+ picking off the B on h3. Black's position looks awful anyhow, but everyone loves the inexplicable sac.
