It’s important to get over the feeling of scarcity. “He’s the only one that I can get.” It will keep your mindset in a desperate state, thus pushing him further away. Start looking at available men you are not attracted to. Go out with them. They may seem too nice, but give them a chance. Those are typically the men one ends up marrying. Their unsurpassed love grows on you, and you fall in true love with a man that you truly deserve. Trust me on this one. 🌹

Wanted to share the perspective that love coming from someone we don’t find attractive does not always touch our hearts in the way we would like for it to. Dating men you don’t find attractive therefore isn’t a great solution as we may always find ourselves looking elsewhere rather than reciprocating the genuine love by the man you don’t find attractive.

Don't take crumbs , don't make excuses for men, men making excuses, change yourself and not being authentic or suppressing parts of yourself, the right one el love you and accept you for who you are, be 100% authentic, don't wait around for someone who doesn't show up consistently or make commitments, don't wait around for anyone to step up, don't focus on men focus on your own needs and desires. Choose yourself so a high quality man chooses you. Is a blessing when the guy who doesn't choose you or commit to you fades away.

Notes I took as reminder to self: "What you tolerate in a relationship is a measure of what you think you deserve in a deep level". True. "What would a high value person do?", "What would a person with self respect and self love do?" are useful questions to ask to guide our actions - no waiting on, no hanging on, continue to invest in crafting the life we want. "The person who love you will accept you as you are" and also he will step up to pursue - isn't that so true, if he doesn't, it is a sign to move on, gotta make room for someone who does! Finally, never ignore our needs, feelings, desires, and what feels good to us.

At my friend’s wedding last week (she is nearing 40 and it is her first/only marriage) she used two words that stuck out to me “reliable” and “protector.” I now am going to gauge each new dating opportunity on those two words. Is he being reliable? Is he acting as my protector? I realized that a man who leaves you then comes back etc. is not reliable and is not protecting you. He wasn’t protecting me when he chose to be cold and distant so therefore he is not my person.

codependent people learn to put the needs of others ahead of their own and will sacrifice their needs and principles in order to maintain relationships. People who are codependent feel a strong pull toward validation and self-worth from others. When they don’t receive it, they become anxious. One can unlearn these patterns. It starts with building your self-concept outside of and apart from others. To be able to have healthy, mutually loving relationships, we need to be able to put the parts of our brain seeking safety at ease by cultivating that security within ourselves, rather than externally. IF you put his needs/wants above your own, then it would self abandonment.

That's what a guy should do if he's in love and that's always stuck with me of how a guy SHOULD be treating me

I watched this one video this once sometime ago and I can't remember who it was off the top of my head now but the guy speaking explained it like this. There were three women at a bar and a guy comes up to the first woman asks to buy her a drink but also says something insulting. This woman is so enraged she tips her drink over him and storms off. He goes up to the seccond woman asks to buy a drink, says something about her that's insulting, she gives him the eye but not the push off, he continued to be a jerk and then she walked away from him. The third woman who he offers to buy a drink for he makes some comment about her necklace saying it looked tacky and not very nice and she turns around with a smile saying I know, and then makes an excuse by saying she knows it's not very nice - we'll, he's just insulted her to her face and even though he's being a jerk a little more she's tolerating being in his company because the other two women didn't want to hang with him because they had an idea of they want to be treated and it wasn't by being insulted. So, I agree, the more you hang with people who say certain stuff to you and you don't walk away you tolerate the abuse and that's by a verbally abusive guy.

Our relationship is progressing naturally and we are able to be vulnerable with eachother and I finally feel supported as myself at 42 years old and he's a few years younger than me 😉! I listened to this video and recognize how far I have come and it has confirmed that I no longer display those lower value behaviors, (which were learned habits from childhood) self compassion and doing the self reflective work helped tremendously while I continue on a healing journey and value myself and practiced my boundaries, while standing up for myself in a balanced feminine way. Apart of me feels like I'm pushing him away, and the other part feels like I'm being taken for granted. Not sure how to navigate this situation with a child involved 😕
@christina40183 жыл бұрын
Hi, from another coach I watch who’s more about self improvement and less about dating, and because I’ve been in your situation. Be an awesome parent and enjoy the time with your child best you can, socialise and be happy with the opportunities that present themselves from that. They grow up and move on faster than you think and it’s important to support their development best you can. Men come and go but you only get one shot at being a parent. As your confidence and self esteem grow from that you’ll attract better things into your life. Child’s father might come around and might not, but other men are going to be impressed with the job you’re doing as a parent over time and more choices will present themselves if you look after your health and keep your self esteem high. Maybe not the solution you’ve hoping to hear but it works.

I would love to here more about what you have say, about bread crumbing. And how women, can stand up for them self when men are bread crumbing them. Because I feel that this has happen to me, in my relationship's that I try to make with each guy that comes my way.
@Jannikorn3 жыл бұрын
I think she would say that if you recognize his behavior as breadcrumbing to walk away from him. She and Tom have a video together where they both agree that a man who’s not coming toward you is not interested in you. Let him fall away from your life and this creates space for the guy(s) who want to be with you to show up. Let those breadcrumbers fall out of your life!😊

I agree with Lucy - it’s not about “trying to make a relationship happen” with a man. One text isn’t going to push the right man away for good - what matters more is the overarching DYNAMIC between the two of you. For example, if his energy isn’t coming towards you consistently and you’re always feeling a sense of longing or “pining” for him, that’s never going to work. 💜

Thank you for the video! Can you explain or make a video about the difference between bread crumbs, pull aways and ghosting. How to know which one is which. How and when to express our boundaries without coming across as needy. When is it the right time to leave. I broke up with my boyfriend because he wasn't consistent and I feel terrible now. I usually meet someone I like only once a year and I'm 34. I keep thinking that maybe I could have explained my feelings about the situation in a feminine way instead of taking that decision on my own because I was emotionally in pain from him not stepping up. Also is it ever ok, to text first? I feel like most of guys take you for granted and loose respect as soon as I text regardless of the 80/20 rule. I advice the ladies to think twice before leaving. The reason we have so many issues is that we don't have that many genuine connections. That's why we hesitate so much even if we are not getting the treatment we want. There's of course many guys but most of them just want sex or being entertained....

You will know ghosting when it happens! Great dates, texts, sex, you’ve basically shared your life story with them… then they disappear…. NO communication… oh well… his loss…….. hey… the sex was great…. At 60.. I still got it.

You’re welcome! Rather than trying to categorize a man - which just keeps you in your masculine energy and your focus on HIM - I’d pay attention to how what he’s doing (or not doing) feels to YOU. I’d also work on turning around the story that most men just want sex or to be entertained, since having a belief that there’s nothing better out there will keep you “stuck” on a man who’s not stepping up or making you feel safe and secure in the relationship. I have a question. What if he was completely committed to me and then I was too needy and had too much expectations on him and pulled him away. And now he tries to come back but it doesn’t work like he wanted it to. He is hot and cold, gives me breadcrumbs and knows I’m waiting for him because it was my fault he pulls away. But he can’t go back to the feelings he had and he doesn’t know if he ever will. He hopes, but he doesn’t know it. What can I do? My feelings are so hurt and I want him so badly. He was so wonderful to me. And I messed it up and know I get no chance to do better.
