The same applies on the other end of the spectrum here don't ask for a traditional husband if you're not going to be a traditional wife. The problem in this scenario though was the fact that the dude just wanted to be careful like he was still a child, and yet still do things that adults do, but yet didn't want to actually be the other half of the role that comes with being a traditional family. I'm sure y'all don't need a lengthy description like I've known for doing unfortunately, so I won't bore you guys with a paragraph, lol. Overall though, people sometimes are just wanting Maids that help with bills, and they should be avoided at all costs. Two of them are high income earners who for some reason don't mind paying everyone else's bills. One of them is a superhuman homemaker tradwife. Even then, you can't have children with all of them because the tradwife isn't going to be able to raise that many children (most of whom aren't hers) while also cooking cleaning for four adults and three sets of children. you'll notice how the things he requested became other things as soon as he was frustrated with her. takes care of herself > plays dress-up traditional woman > gold digger this is inherent to the tradwife issue. being a loving supporter to your partner, prioritizing your lifestyle and your children - these aren't anti-feminist. but when you _identify_ yourself with "traditional womanhood," you're introducing yourself to men like this, who will recharacterize the relationship in order to shame and punish you when they're angry. plenty of people who end up financially dependent on abusers can attest to this behavior - their partner will accuse them of being a freeloader for not being able to contribute financially. they will insult and downplay the work their partner puts into the relationship by saying it's natural behavior, part and parcel with maintaining the home, or the least they can do when they don't contribute financially. glad this guy demonstrated exactly who he was from the jump.
@bluedistortions11 ай бұрын
There's nothing wrong with a traditional setup, but you are right that some people jump straight into it without knowing their partner, and it's harder to get free if you don't have a career to fall back on. I think this is why traditional relationships usually had extended courting periods, and having to pass the scrutiny of other friends and family. Those who care about us tend to be more discerning of character because they aren't blinded by hormones.
@Pragabond9 ай бұрын
You're very much so right on the money. I've seen that shit firsthand a hundred times. And yeah being anti-feminist would be saying women have to be whatever you want them to be. If you want to be a home maker and not work and your partner agrees to that then you can in fact still be a whole feminist so long as you think other women shouldn't be forced to adhere to that traditional role. It doesn't meant you have to be ANTI-homemaker to be feminist it just means you understand and respect that women and people in general should be free to fill whatever traditional or non-traditional role they like without being forced into a box. Be whatever you want live however you want so long as you're not hurting anyone or forcing a set standard on others outside of basic decency.

@@FGL_Apex On the one hand I'm sure biologically there are some factors at play but I think the biggest thing here is centuries of gender roles having been enforced. A lot of people just don't know any better bc it's what society has always taught us, and the shitty part is that bc of that, ppl like the dude from the video use it as an excuse to completely push those kinds of roles onto women and expect them to do all the work when it comes to taking care of kids, maintaining the house, etc (works this way for guys too, mind you, with society teaching them they need to be "strong" and "aggressive" and preferably not show too many emotions bc it's feminine, etc..) Not the case for everyone of course but yeah, there's so much conditioning done by society to have made us what we are today tbh
@Hello-hello-hello456 Жыл бұрын
@@FGL_ApexIt's mostly a societal thing, how boys and girls are encouraged to have certain traits (sometimes forced) and gender roles and traditional family structures where the mother raises the children mostly on her own and the father is in there ocassionally. Of course kids will be closer with their mom that way, it doesn't mean 'women are naturally more nurturing' or anything, women are just made to embrace and enhance that side of themselves, and men are made to suppress it.
@bluechip6596 Жыл бұрын
@@Hello-hello-hello456it's not though, it's predominantly biology. Look at the animal kingdom and you see the same thing with nurturing mothers, are you going to tell me that's because of forcing them into gender roles too? Not everything is due to gender roles. Some of our traits are just biologically predetermined.
@lawrencescales9864 Жыл бұрын
@@FGL_ApexI’m a guy working with very young kids-pre k-, and have come to believe these roles are completely cultural. I see boys hugging, playing with skirts, plush dolls, dancing, while also enjoying superheroes and trucks. There are girls who like to build, couldn’t care less about taking care of anything, and would rather dress as Spider-Man then a princess. I think you’re missing the point. Women *seem* like they’re more nurturing because that is the role they’re taught to fill. Before this stuff is pushed onto kids, they don’t magically conform to these roles, or even know they exist. They just do whatever they want until someone reinforces or discourages certain behavior.

You just gonna hoard that money while your girl works, cleans, and raises the kids? The fuck? From my experience, people like this usually don’t do well in the compsci field. They’re too opinionated and struggle with any new things or changes in a field that is always changing and advancing. These people usually don’t make it passed the trial period if they even make it through the interview. Plus getting that degree will require hard work which the guy doesn’t seem to be interested in doing. It's sad that some women(and sometimes men) are in that exact scenario right now. So one of them has to go to work, and take 100% full care of the kid, and sometimes are also expected to do most of the homechores too... While the other "partner" comes home and plays Xbox for hours or watches TV and goes to sleep. Typically when the lazy one is the husband it's because he wants the appearance of being a dependable married man with kids. Married men with kids more often get promotions because it makes them look better in the eyes of colleagues and bosses. It also sets you up for financial abuse. And really any kind of abuse. Because it's a lot harder to leave if you don't have an income. Especially if you haven't worked in say 10 years... Now you have a 10 year gap on your resume. How will you ever support yourself, or kids if you have them? Oh but of course, if you ask for alimony or child support people think you're evil and "stealing" his money. Even though he never would have gotten so far in his career if you weren't supporting him, and you intentionally quit your job just so you could support him. Edit: Woah 1k likes! 💛 As someone whos watched a ton of black and white television, those traditional wives, the Lucille Balls/Donna Reed types who took care of the house top to bottom, and the kids, one thing i always noticed was that the husbands were always seen working, coming in the door from work right when the episode starts, or sitting on a chair smoking a cigar and downing whiskey because they had a long day. THEY WORKED. The wife is taking care of everything else and the husband is providing. You can't just sit at home on Steam all day or trying to make it big on KZbin and Twitch while the wife takes on everything else. A trad wife cant even exist if the trad husband isnt "playing his part". the concept is simple in theory, but it's like some of these dudes are just eliminating the half the equation and still expecting it to work 💀

Just adding to what you said: when you watch those old timey shows, you also have to consider that it was a time before automation. There were no machines doing 80% of the work for employees. I’m a trad wife, I’ve wanted to be from the time I can remember. For starters this man is incredibly wrong for the role of traditional husband; how can you expect to be the leader of a household if you can’t even manage your emotions? Most of these men who think traditional wives are gold diggers that just want to “sit at home” couldn’t run a household with 2-4 kids for more than 2 days. It’s levels deep, but everyone sees it as just cleaning the home. This mystery man would be absolutely horrible to his wife and she would be miserable, one thing I’ve learned as a tradwife is the incredible amount of support you have to give each other because this isn’t an easy path to take. Seems he would provide no emotional support and turn everything around onto his partner, “everything bad is her fault”. Get ahold of yourself dude, humility and understanding.

I knew a guy like this. Had a laundry list of requirements (not just preferences) he was looking for in a partner. When I asked him what he had to offer in return, his answer was… “loyalty”. Just loyalty. He didn’t have a high paying job, nor did he even have his own place, but the cherry on the top was him insisting that he’d want his future wife to sign a prenup so she couldn’t just decide one day she’d prefer alimony over her marriage. Because apparently women just spontaneously do that. According to the bitter divorced men he’d heard of. Nooo, these men hadn’t done anything to push their ex-wives away, they were saints. Unthinkable that might be the case. They were just victims of these women who got bored of marriage and cashed in one day. One requirement on his laundry list was that his partner could never have been engaged before, let alone actually married ‘cause “they’d made their decision”. Tough luck if their partner turned out not to be who they thought… like being abusive. It just demonstrated a lack of loyalty for leaving a relationship like that, of course 🚩🚩🚩

I think it’s also super important to mention that having a trad husband and trad wife relationship where the trad wife does house chores, children chores, groceries, cooking, cleaning, basically everything other than making money is the fact that since the husband is the one who has to bring home the money he also needs to be giving money to the trad wife to spend on herself exactly like how she would if it was a two income, where the labour was split (cooking, cleaning, and childcare). As one does when they make money, one will spend on themselves for fun and for need (like hair cut, clothes and make up) so if the tradhusband expects to not “compensate” the trad wife with things she would be spending on if she had a job then that’s just not thinking the trad wife is doing labour… He has to buy her makeup, clothes, pay for hair appointments, gifts, etc. A trad wife’s job is to cook, clean, children, and more, so it’s labour and when you work, you get compensated so you can live. The trad husband here is expected to take over the cost that would have been shared had the woman have been working as well as what she would have been paying for herself. You gotta pay for her life and treat her like you treat yourself. That’s not being a gold digger, it’s just logical. Labour is labour and the trad wife’s labour “playing” house. Hope that makes sense !

100% agree. This is something a lot of men don't understand when they say they want a traditional wife. What many are actually looking for is a woman who will still fulfill traditionally feminine roles like homemaking and childrearing, but also support herself financially. Well, that's completely inequitable, and such men need a wake-up call. It's a shame, because men and women having those traditional roles is a beautiful thing, and still the most stable form of society we've ever seen. But many men are weaksauce now and many women are shamed for being homemakers. It's sad.

This is where incel ideology collapses on itself. They dont want some "liberal blue haird woke girl", but they also dont want to be a "wagie" so their fantasy women is a mother, a cook, a sex slave AND she should work a regular job, makes her own money and is basically completely financially independant. Not to mention many households would be multi-generational so everyone works together to take care of the family. There's no metric you can really cite to prove your claim. The house wife is just one model of household that works for some people.

Yeah I seek an arrangement like this. This is how my parents are doing it my dad was able to provide my mom with all those things. Guys who want the best of both worlds piss me off I want to be the type of husband you described but these bums are ruining the trad thing. A big part of being a man is to provide for your family I don't want my future wife to deal with this rat race bullshit Id rather her stay at home and bond with the kids like my mom did I don't mind suffering at a 9 to 5 in that case.

This is hilarious, dude basically is just admitting he wants a sex servant and doesnt take into consideration that he would in fact have to cover all of her living expenses

He never once said he wanted her to be a stay at home wife… you can be a traditional relationship whilst both parties working. I would know I’m in a traditional relationship and we have a 4 year old. She goes to school while we work. She cooks while I play with our daughter and during the weekend she cleans inside while I do the yard work outside. Perfectly 50/50 whilst being traditional
