It's funny that the writers thought "Beauty/Makeover influencer bad" because it's "superficial" and "shallow" and "inauthentic", but "travel vlogger influencer good" because it's more "real". They don't realize that the world- or at least, the younger generation- has moved on from villainizing the hyperfeminine because we've realized that *gasp* people are multifaceted and are allowed to have more than one, or even differing interests!

This movie didn’t even need to be related to She’s All That. The relationship between the popular person and the outcast are completely different. The outcast needed to learn how to trust the popular person, and the popular person needed to learn to respect the outcast…. because they were NOT friends in the beginning. A movie starring Addison Rae is marketable enough so dragging a recognizable property’s name into the drama is desperate and sad. The reveal at the end of “I’m not perfect, I take bad pics sometimes” makes me think more about the end of the Bratz movie

I don’t remember the original Shes all that much but I remember the main girl was weird as all hell but not pretentious or mean. She was just an artist who dressed weird, was poor and didn’t have time for bs. The popular kids, even the main guy, were the assholes. (I literally remember not wanting her to get with the guy cause he sucked, similar to how Cindy wanted Addison Rae to do better than this guy) Oddly enough the quirky outcast is the one who’s unlikable in this and the arrogant popular kid is ok.

Well its economics. These influencers are able to sell products or something. This generates money the money these influencers are paid are relevant to the profit they generate. While a healthcare worker is more morally valuable but they don't generate a profit. The world of economics doesn't work from a moralistic stand point. It's works for a production stand point. Btw I'm not saying it's not or wrong or that I agree with the idea. It's just how things work. Similarly to a footballer whom earns a lot of wealth.
