There's no such thing as the stomach flu. Influenza is a respiratory virus, and if you have any stomach or gastro symptoms, it's either something else in addition, or is secondary caused by you swallowing your own boogers. The most common cause of gastroenteritis is Norovirus, which does not attack the respiratory system, although as you said you can have an irritated esophagus causing a cough that's absent of mucousal congestion.

There's a lot of apples to oranges to apply in that comparison discussion. While most competitive scenes have evolved over the years, that's typically a result of a shift in what's valued and circumstance--not necessarily that standards or overall talent has risen. Grubby had mentioned bodybuilding for example: that valued aesthetics and muscle control a lot more 100 years ago, where now it's much more focused on mass and raw strength. Sensibilities, available means, culture, and so many other factors contributed to that. Boxing and even WC3 share a lot of that, too, to the point that you'd be comparing two people doing very different things. Happy would prolly still win tho, he's had like 20 more years to hone his skills

As for me Batriders are not really cost efficient counters of Destroyers with 3rd upgrade for defence. You should make an expo and play 2v1 bases against Undead to make it cost efficient.

if the UD has no fiends, but the UD will have fiends and just upgrade web then plop one next to a spirit tower in his base and you lose. The counter to UD is to make sure they are not doing an immediate base extension with ghouls and then do one yourself, after that you slow down their creeping by being annoying. If UD is not immediately expanding with ghouls before their first Necropolis upgrade then it is hard for them to ever expand or deal with gold mine pressure since they cannot produce more workers, and if they don't take Dreadlord first, they are really weak in PvP early so it's usually a free contest. You don't think about how to counter Destroyers. By the time they have destros they have done everything that you can punish already and have their win con of a massive ranged army + Orb of Corruption. Before this point, Undead are the weakest race in the game, so you think about their weaknesses in the early-mid game, and how to best exploit them. They are forced to go Rod of Necromancy and creep, you want to stop them or slow them down. They are weak in pvp early without a lot of ghouls and Dreadlord so if they don't have him first you can harass all early game. They are forced to upgrade early, and won't have the ability to produce more workers, so you want to stop them from expanding and pressure their Acolytes. You can outpace them in unit production even without an expansion just because of how much they spend, so you want to keep producing units. With an expansion advantage you can produce twice as many units as they can. If all goes well they won't have destroyers, or only a max of 2 that will be low hp already, so you can get turrets to protect from cheese and a ranged hero second to kill them. Undead have pretty bad shop items for fighting so they need neutral shops for invul pots midgame, so you want to control markets. Lastly, you almost never want flying units because web on fiends is too strong, and fiends are natural to build for Undead. An easy win against UD goes in an order like this; After stunting their ability to expand by making sure they aren't taking any gold mines early with scouting or harass, expand yourself. After expanding, find where they are creeping and harass them so they are limited to just a few camps, or target their acolytes on their gold mine/ nerubian towers to force them back to base. While this is happening spam produce on t1, get your own t2, build 2x the t2 unit production you want, get your second hero(might want ranged if your units aren't), and build a bigger army than them while they go to t3. Always keep using your production buildings, start creeping yourself while scouting, if you find them harass them. Expanding for them is now detrimental because their Necropolis should be upgrading and they can't produce Acolytes. Deny them camps by harassing them directly, taking camps that they want, or forcing them to defend by attacking the Acolytes they can't reproduce. The goal is to prevent them from getting levels and items on their heroes and having one shot potential with burst. When your second hero spawns rally everything at home and move to control the market on their side of the map, send a couple of things as scouts ahead and find out where they are. The goal now is to buy invul pots/heal scrolls and deny them of access to theirs. Now you're done. A click your army towards them or their base, whichever seems better, and you have probably won the game at that point. They might have like 25-30 food worth of things that all have to kite and be microd constantly, you will have a lot more that can either surround or attack move. Against a massive force rolling through the undead comps just fall over without neutral items. Just play it slow bait them to right click and surround their heroes or fiends when you can. A lot of UD play to tank with DK when he is the healer, so take the free chances to hit or surround DK. A lot of UD players right click all of their ranged to finish off low targets, so micro low things back and force move your army to surround a ranged unit of theirs when they try to get a kill. Their heroes without the usual UD creep advantage won't be able to one shot yours. Only amazing players can micro themselves out of spots like that, you will destroy 99% of them.

I don't know how many boxers have ever been as disciplined as Tyson. He used to get up at 4am to train and he would do almost nothing but train for months before a big fight. When he lost his mentor/trainer and stopped training half as hard, it really showed. He also just did not have the motivation in general to fight anymore.

Mike Tyson would crush the current boxing champ. But if Mike Tyson was born today he wouldn’t be a boxer he would be in the UFC. The UFC became more popular and has taken the focus away from boxing in the USA. So in this day and age him coming up he would have learned more martial arts and gone the UFC route. I think he still would have been a world class fighter in the UFC and def a champ or a long time.

When people talk about boxing: 99% Mike Tyson 1% Mike Tyson Apparently no other boxers exist. Tyson wouldn't fight a 40 year old Foreman. What makes you think he was going to step in the ring with him when he was in his 20s? Tyson was/is a schooled follower of boxing thanks to Cus D Amato as he would always make him watch fights, especially really old school boxers. I would bet he wouldn't put himself in the top 10 all time list

Tyson is one of the greatest boxer of his generation, if not the greatest if we talking about those few years he was in prime. What changed between then and now is that boxing is no longer mainstream. He was the last great boxer to come out when the sport was still wildely popular. That is no longer the case, that's why we are "stuck" with Tyson forever now. Not because he was better than anyone else that has ever existed, but because he was one of the last ones to send major shockwaves across the whole culture. For all we know there might be boxers out there that are better than Tyson was even in his prime, but it doesn't matter now because boxing is no longer mainstream. It's a bit similar to Warcraft 3 in that sense. Even if a company were to make an RTS of equal caliber it's not going to be the same anymore. The genre is no longer part of the culture.

So, @ the boxing discussion - a LOT of the oooolllld school boxers would probably win, but as I understand it (and mind you this is a fairly limited understanding) that's because a lot of the talent that would have gone to boxing has gone into different combat sports, like MMA. In other words, the talent pool is smaller, so the competition isn't as fierce.

The decline of quality happened before MMA. I'd say it had more to do with infectious ideas and aeathetics from bidt building and profesional wrestling that changed the puic idea of what a bixer should look like, and so influenced the kids who became boxers. Without good trainers showing then hoe to really train, they defaulted to training loke weightlifters. It was the focus on raw muscle and brawn that turned boxing into a slugfest, where it was once the Sweet Science. Technique was lost becaue the old trainers didn't make their boxers look like boxers, not Rocky. The true ideal Boxer's physique is lean and with a bit of a belly: big biceps don't add speed, their size just gets in the way prevent the snap that gives a punch its real power. The Golden age boxers never used weights to train, be amused it built up needless bulk that robbed thier speed.
