As an actor myself, Matthew McConaughey is someone I’ve idolized for a while now. Throughout high school, I was only casted as the funny best friend or idiot, and was told that I wasn’t leading man material no matter how hard I tried to be exactly that. Now I’m in college and going into the second semester of my sophomore year and I’m finally getting looked at for more complex characters and getting chances to play leading men at callbacks. A lot of my drive comes from Matthew.

@@SavvyMuhon I really appreciate your support! I don’t have a demo reel right now but I have a running resume with all of my roles on it. I’ve considered starting a page where I can showcase things that I’ve learned or things that I’m working on, but I haven’t fully committed to that yet. Sometimes I’ll go to the basement of my school’s library late at night to get an empty classroom and try to connect my blocking with everything that I’m saying.

Wow, what a breakdown, I loved the romcom era because it was so easy to watch, directors loved it more because it was a blueprint for short success. But then it got rinsed and people wanted something new. For actors it’s really hard for them to transition out of genres you’re specifically known for but to rebrand completely and succeed twice in value is no easy feat. He isn’t known for romcoms at all anymore👏 can only admire greatness

so, the first movie I ever saw with Matthew McConaughey was Reign of Fire. He did NOT look charming and handsome in that movie, but he was the hero and impressive. I went on with my life, and then saw him in something romantic like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Wow...charming, handsome, intelligent. And he was on my radar. THEN I watched Angels in the Outfield for the umpteenth time and he is in that movie! He had a couple of lines even and was on camera quite a bit. I remember thinking how odd it was to see this superstar playing a background character...and I'm happy for him that he made it big. He deserves it. He is one of the good ones.

I think the scenes of him crying in Interstellar are the most gutwrenching scenes ive seen of a man in film crying. It feels so incredibly genuine and raw. He's such a force to be reckoned with and im so glad he got out of the com rom rut he was stuck in . I feel bad for all the actors that never get to break out of type casting trap. Also, Matthew is so incredibly sexy which is an added bonus. He has so much sex appeal , more than most actors .
