Brain fog is not a permanent change in your brain, it’s simply a sign that your brain is stressed. One way to release the stress is to tap into the power of relaxation, like with this gentle brain fog meditation.
Brain fog commonly occurs during and after an illness, during hormonal changes, while taking medication, alongside anxiety ... among other things.
It's important to first see your doctor to check for physical reasons for the brain fog. Symptoms can include:
• feeling “spacy” or confused
• feeling fatigued
• thinking more slowly than usual, and needing more time to complete simple tasks
• being easily distracted
• having trouble organizing thoughts or activities
• forgetfulness, such as forgetting daily tasks or losing a train of thought
• word-finding difficulties
Your brain has a complex job to do - so keeping to a routine can help improve brain health when it feels overloaded. Eating at regular intervals, going to bed at regular times etc. But simply accepting that you may need to take things slowly for a while, is part of the journey to healing.
