I added it to my list of life goals to attend the conference someday. Our mental health training in medical school is very bare bones, especially for conditions that affect so many people.

We love these updates!! It sounds like your experience of fusion is similar to a feeling of really deep community with your entire system, like everyone being at the table at once and taking turns to speak (rather than a table with one or two chairs that people have to switch out to use). I hope this makes sense LOL. This is really encouraging and I hope you and your group continue to post updates for what life feels like in this state! We're having more people fuse as we go through trauma processing (not intentional, just what naturally keeps happening) and this really makes the process feel less frightening. Thank you so much and wishing you and yours well!!

Deep community…yes. And I’m so glad our experience can make yours less frightening. It’s honestly why we share. 💜

I didn't know there were such events! This sounds so wholesome. And don't worry, even as a Singlet I kinda understood what you were trying to get across with everyone being there, but with a stronger sense of unity. A question; how did the different handwritings work before you realized you were a system? Did all alters 'change' their handwriting or did you not notice the differences? Lots of love ☺

Anosognosia. We totally noticed the differences and disregarded it as some little quirky thing. 😅

That just sounds so wonderful. Events like that where professionals interact with and listen to people with lived experiences really enhance the understanding for all parties. Also, I’m not sure if I should ask but I would really be interested in your thoughts about Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy modality, if you’re familiar with/have heard of it, and/or feel like speaking on it. I just personally find the basic premise of it so relatable and kind of consoling to think that the same structures of roles that alters have in DID and OSDD are naturally present in the brain as a protective capability, even though people who are not systems specifically would experience their different parts, or emotional/logical/protective etc. “perspectives”, more subtly without having the experiences of being separate like you said. I’d love to know how you would see this. Best wishes ❤

We’ve found certain aspects of IFS to be very helpful and relatable. As a modality for multiples, it falls short, but taking it as a spring board and tailoring it to multiples can work well.

Do you recall all perspectives of the inner world. Like do you remember being a tiger

Not really. Inner world perspectives feel vague right now.
