This sounds so nice and like a dream. I think this is how we dream a relationship should be. Im glad you both are able to have this❤

This was super helpful. We have DID. The way you described needing to pour kindness in the world because you were not able to give it to. Yourself …. I deeply felt this , those are my feelings, it was very empowering hearing you say how we feel. Love your videos. Please know what a kind and beautiful and selfless act it is to share your journey in such an authentic way. ❤

Thank you for sharing your experience with this. I've been experiencing a similar transformation in my own partnership and feeling a bit disoriented because of how much it deviates from the relationships I saw modeled growing up. it means a lot for me in this moment to hear someone speak to the warmth of the change. 💕

Uff, you scared me for a second, thought it was a divorce announcement or something of that sort. Glad to hear it's just becoming more self-sufficient and building more synergistic relationships. We're actually experiencing something similar internally, switching from more of a co-dependant mode to more of independent but supportive.

So amazingly said! Also, an excellent talk about having healthy boundaries without even needing to use the word. ❤

You had me so scared with this title, but now I'm feeling hopeful. I'm just starting with this and my wife is my best source of support, and it's so hopeful to see you talking about how you two are growing together instead of growing apart. Mind if I steal the idea for Self-Care Sunday? It sounds amazing, and I think my wife and I would really benefit from it.

We're going through a similar change in relationship dynamics with our husband; both with each of us learning how to care for ourselves and reach out to other supports, and with some big dynamics changes in our system. We'll have been together for 10 years on August 19th, married for five, and through all of the ups and downs I keep saying "everything will all buff out", so it's really encouraging to see someone else navigating similar changes in a positive way.

Very encouraging since I am healing from DID and my husband is also healing. We are learning to care for ourselves. Some days I wonder if our marriage will survive this.

Our husband has been growing and healing alongside us for 12+ years now and even helped discover our system. It's validating to hear your experience.

It sounds like a good plan but be open for fine-tuning. Try to read one another better without verbal communication. Over verbal communication can actually be counterproductive. You want to understand each other's issues and boundaries without always focusing on it. For some it could add to negative reinforcement, especially with some alters. I was in a 10 year relationship with someone with DID. We are no longer in that relationship but we are best friends now. The DID on its own wasn't the problem, the toxicity of the alters was. This included addiction and violent and self-abusive behavior. I'm glad that is not part of your experience. Just like everything else in life, the key is balance.
