You failed to mention that simply a high fiber diet, especially diets at or above 37 G of fiber daily, tend to eliminate blood glucose control issues in most people if they also minimize eating any kind of processed carbs or sugar in their diet. Simply eliminating snacking on carbs in between meals and only eating carbs with a heavy protein and fiber, preferably carb meals before physical activity is planned, often eliminates diabetic issues for most pre-diabetics and people in the early stages of type 2 diabetes.

@@gargijadhav202 like low carbs or any carbs? Since vegetables are also carbs… ofc not a licensed medical professional or anything, but I’ve seen videos where people talked about how they were not getting their resting metabolic (basal metabolic) needs met and they struggled to lose weight (which is supposed to help with pcos) because their body thought they were starving and ended up storing everything as fat. So maybe try what you’ve been doing with at least 2 meals a day? Hope you’ve been managing well! Good luck and take care!! 😁

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article kzbin.infoUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

Inositol at 1g doses, for me it started to affect slightly my mood at 2g doses, my mood improved exponentially to the point of taking the 2g dose in a few days I was able to crawl out of a 18ish month long depression 4g feeling better, starting to feel the glucose drops if I take it without food at larger doses 8g+ it starts to act like an anti-anxiety medication at the dose I'm taking right now, 12g, for me the best is taken with food. My mood has completely stabilized... I'm still me, I'm still sober, but stuff barely affects me, does not throws me into bad moods, I feel friendlier and able to socialize a bit more. I have a pretty bad Adult ADHD with some Autism-like symptoms... it HELPS A LOT specially in the higher doses, but it doesn't change you if you hope to wake up "adhd free".

Best decision of my life! My A1C & cholesterol is now normal. Auto-immune flare ups and body pain are not happening as often. It was worth making my dietary changes vs. taking more medications.

@@celeste6445 hi, to make okra water is easy. Just chop up about 2-3 okras. Place them in a large glass . Fill the glass with water and refrigerate overnight. Next morning the water will be very slimy. Strain the water in a glass, and this is what you drink. It helps with insulin I think but do some research. Don't throw away the chopped okras yet. Refill the glass with fresh water and repeat the process until there's no more slim. Be careful not to chop too many okras at a time. Hope this helps. 😊

Berberine is NOT naturally found in turmeric. Berberine is a compound that is typically extracted from the roots and stems of various plants, such as the Berberis species (barberry), Chinese goldthread, and Oregon grape. It is commonly used as a dietary supplement due to its potential health benefits.

I have been taking Metformin for about two years. My latest blood work showed low hemoglobin levels and I have also started noticing more occurances of my arms and hands falling asleep in bed. I am also a competitive powerlifter and work out pretty consistently. Because of the countering effects of Metformin and exercise, and because of the apparent lowering of my B12 levels, I have decided to try Berberine. I also take Myo Inositol and Cinnamon. Type 1 diabetic since 1970. Berberine and metformin in my case seem to matter much less than diet. They seem not to hurt. Haven’t had side-effects that I’ve noticed. I do take B12 supplements. Carnivore diet seems to help more, much more. I’m trying 3 days a week on PSMF, on my doctor’s suggestion, and that’s definitely forced me to lower my doses of insulin not just on those days. I really dislike eating essentially nothing but protein three days a week, I admit.

My knees, back and shoulders stopped hurting. My stomach doesn't feel tight like a drum now. I felt mentally sharp again. My feet went from feeling numb to having feelings again. I tried it for 3 weeks. It’s like putting a bandaid on a burst pipe. For me anyway. I’d wake up with crazy highs…. But apparently there is 2 reasons why this would happen. 1) my blood sugar dropped too low… and produced a hormone to up the insulin… so I’d wake up with 160s… I troubleshootedthis to be the case by checking at night. I use OneTouch Reveal, Which has a ton of good insights tips and help to share with your doctor. Personally I plan to go though hard/all natural route, but find it worth it in my long term health after reading recalls and side effects.

The side effect of Lactic Acidosis with Metformin is extremely rare (even at the max 2G daily dose) and is completely safe with alcohol use... Just always stick to the national guidelines about consumption of alcohol. Berberine is a risky one when you are already taking Metformin. As the two have the same impact on blood sugar, it can put you at risk of Hypoglycaemia if you take them both at the same time, Its best to space out your doages

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes when pregnant with my son and prescribed metformin because my fasting sugar was always higher than it should be even though the rest of my after meal sugars were always really good. It ried to use the medicine for a week and had to stop. The reason for stopping was that because I would get great fasting sugar readings, but then all three after meal sugar readings were high. It didn't make sense for me to screw up a whole day's sugar readings just because of poor fasting sugar. I also read up on the side effects on it and felt the ends simply did not justify the means. My son was born healthy apart from a minor surgery for a non-gestational diabetic reason.

They can effect blood sugar because more is being taken from the bloodstream and into your cells.
@CrystalM1917
@CrystalM1917 2 жыл бұрын
Me too. My blood sugar is normal and normal hga1c but I have pcos so I know it's probably an insulin issue. It's the state we are at prior to becoming pre-diabetic. Our liver is secreting higher levels of insulin to keep our blood sugar levels normal so we're not having issues with high blood sugars...YET. but the excess insulin will cause our cells to become more and more resistant and the insulin is wreaking havoc on our ovaries by increasing testosterone production. In pcos even normal levels of testosterone can be problematic bc we seem to be especially sensitive to it and it's effects on egg health specifically.

Metformin does not do anything about insulin resistance it does not treat the diabetes disease only the symptoms of having high blood sugar. It is analogous to taking an aspirin to treat the pain of having a infected cut. If Berberine actually decreases insulin resistance then it would be better than metformin. Fasting and exercize will work wonders for treating the disease.

My doctor put me on Met Forman specifically to lose weight & try to counteract the side effects from the many many other drugs that I am on and have been taking for over 20 years which have caused me to gain a lot of weight. I am not diabetic, nor is anyone in my family and now after I got off of the Met Forman a few months ago because I started developing strange symptoms like numbness in my hand & foot, as well as some other things and so she took me off the Met Forman about 10 months ago. Those symptoms did resolve, but I had started another medication at the same time, and I stopped them both around the same time so I cannot say for sure. But today, I just found out I have prediabetes!!! So I’m wondering, can taking metformin by a non-diabetic cause you to develop pre-diabetes?
@HealthCoachKait
@HealthCoachKait Жыл бұрын
Metformin does not cause prediabetes, no. It was likely you had insulin resistance while taking metformin (insulin resistance starts up to 10 years before it progresses to prediabetes) and it was undiagnosed. Insulin resistance could be caught years earlier if doctors would only test fasting insulin! It is extremely frustrating...

Honestly, a low carb, high healthy fat way of eating is best. Avoid all grains and starches. No rice or beans. Cut out most fruits, except for berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberries, cranberry). No more than 20g of carbs per day. Drink half your body weight in ounces daily. You will preserve remaining pancreatic function and hopefully avoid diabetes.

@@seaspray9144 I don’t no! I had glucose at 1 point of pre-diabetes, and gaining weight without eating very little and I stick to sweets! And before trying any medicine! I saw it at Walmart, I researched it before and decided to try it, so I always took it after I ate, I also improved my diet a little, but I didn't do physical activity! And I noticed that I started to lose weight , I bought the glucose measuring device and from my exams 5 years ago I saw that my body was working with glucose at 84 and it was reaching almost 200, then I also used Ozempic and managed to lose another 20 lbs. I finally felt very good, I was already having problems with my feet , joints and feeling very bad. I believe has insulin resistance. It was fast, but you have to pay attention to the pancreas. about Ozempic, you have to talk to a doctor, but Glucocil, I don't think anyone knows! It was great for me and I was already desperate. Now only when I abuse it, I take glucosyl, it lowers the glucose very quickly, because it has a little insulin. Now trying not to gain more weight and doing physical activity, I hope it's useful! 😊😊
