Healthy and healthy... Still lots of syrup, fruit sugar and fat from the nut butter and oil. Not to talk about calories. But I don't care for extreme healthiness, these are perfect for a delicious meal! You need to treat yourself sometimes :-)

Awesome! I'm going to try making these with just a slight twist... instead of using rolled oats and then adding raisins I'm just going to use Raisin Bran cereal. 😄👍

I made something very similar yesterday, only a bit more chunky and with cranberries instead of raisins, it was awesome. I will definitely try your version of it and I'm sure it will be perfect :)

Made these bars today and I'm eating one right now with a glass of milk. :D very tasty indeed! Mine turned out a little more greasy and chewy at the bottom, but that's because I put a generous splash of coconut oil and a bigger amount of peanut butter into the mixture.. haha. But anyway, thanks for the recipe! :)

This recipe is my fav! I dont buy anything processed since a while and only eat homemade food but i have a sweet thoot that im trying to fix and this recipe is life ! I just dont add the almond and the raisins for less calories .. and the honey i put less . My chocolate is 74% cocoa only 100g and i cut them into 8 squares and each square has about 1 tbsp of peanut butter . Thats a good ratio Because the recipe ask for 1/2 cup of pb and this is 8 tbsp .. so 8squares = 1 tbsp so i can eat 2 squares without feeling bad and also the chocolate is 100g so if u eat 2 squares you eat 25g and the recommended amount a day is 20 to 40g so if u go for 3 squares your doing 3 tbsp pb and 37,5 g chocolate but i suggest it if u train and need protein so u dont gain weight! Ur welcome :)
@ellabook154 жыл бұрын
Hi! Did you find adding less PB made it more crumbly? I'm looking for recipes for my brother - he knows PB is healthy and he almost goes through a whole jar in a day, EXCEPT it's the sugary store-bought PB. So I'm trying to convince him to slow down a bit. Do you have any other PB snack recipes to recommend, perchance? Thank you!

I have a question. Is there any alternative to coconut oil, especially the glaze? I live in a hot place, that even coconut oil melt (28-35oC year long). Will the oat bars melt? (I know the glaze will melt)

@inmagavinojordan72338 жыл бұрын
wonderful!! is it possible to use another oil instead of coconut?
@oliviaettl36488 жыл бұрын
Inma Jordan no because coconut oil is solid at room temperature so it won't set if you don't use coconut oil

Thank you for sharing this recipe! It looks great although i'm not a fan of coconut..I assume i can replace the coconut oil with canola oil but i was wondreing what about the unsweetened shredded coconut ? Do you have any suggestion?
@saraev11197 жыл бұрын
EfratDavid I hope you didn't try the Canola oil thing, it doesn't work like coconut oil, coconut oil hardens in cold temp and melts in hot temp. There's refined and unrefined coconut oil, one tastes like coconut, the other does not.

is there anything I could use as a substitute to the coconut oil and flakes? as I don't like coconut anything; thanks 😘
@Bestyutza8 жыл бұрын
Maybe Cacao butter? it keeps the veg aspect and it solidifies. It might not be as emulsifying as the coconut oil, so you might have to play with other oils to get the right consistency.
@cavelleaddison94698 жыл бұрын
That's great thank you, I'll have a look around and give it a go 😊; does the coconut oil have the taste of coconut? I've never tried it simply because anything else coconut that I have tried I have never liked, if it doesn't give off a taste I may give it a go 😊
