Yup! Can’t believe I didn’t know there is lead and other heavy metals in most vegan protein powders. And the ones without that are so so expensive. Thank you for the vid! (:

Love the smoothie. We always do a blend of 6 mix mushroom powder + coconut milk + peanut butter + plantains + mango to keep ourselves rocking every morning

Mushrooms are an amazing thing! You can’t over cook them, they’re delicious, and they’re really nutritious.

I noticed that you recommended adding peanut butter at the end. What are your thoughts on peanut butter? I’ve heard from various sources that it can be very inflammatory, and not actually good for you. And also that it’s not a nut, so it’s not gonna have those health benefits. What kind of food is it? Is it a fruit, seed, legume? I noticed that after my gallbladder surgery, I stopped being able to eat peanut butter - it just sat heavy and uncomfortable in my stomach. But after I started adding bile supplements to my meals, I now feel like it’s good for me. Do you have any thoughts or research on that topic?

Yeah, peanuts are not nuts-they are legumes. But that doesn’t necessarily make them nutritionally different from nuts. In fact, they overall share many of the pros and cons of other nuts. There’s lots of potential nutrition but they can be difficult to digest-making them inflammatory in some cases. You may actually find sprouted peanut butter to be a good option.

Almost exactly what I use. But I like frozen bananas better because then it tastes even more like a milk shake!
