No doubt, one of the most hook setting intro's in music history and one hell of a badass riff!!! This is as good as it gets for American Classic 70's Rock, which is to say, way better than any of the shit out now. The words are passion, the performance is art. Thanks for making this song ladies, it's defined a period in my life in the 70's.

Great work at cleaning this up. Part of the issue with showing the younger generations how amazing rock was in the 70's is that the quality of video recordings doesn't fully capture the events. This one reflects the absolute talent of all members on stage for just one of thousands of songs we had the privilege of listening to during that period of time.

And the bass sounds great! Watch for the moment (3.57-4.07) when Roger takes up on some lead fills and all you have doing the riff is the bass. Such a perfect sound, out of the J-bass, even. The vocals, especially considering they're live, are terrific.

I remember watching this..I was like 14...thinking..I would do most anything to sing like Anne Wilson...she has the most powerful, amazing voice..I'm so glad I grew up in the time I did and while I would NOT want to repeat those younger years (eeek)..there are moments I would like to revisit. We really did have the best TIME for music..the 70's 80's...and even some of the 90's..dont get me wrong..there is some good stuff now, but you really have to DIG for it. PINK...she's one!!

I saw them live in the mid 80's at the Garden State Arts Center in NJ and they sounded freaking amazing. Cheap Trick opened and I love Cheap Trick, but Heart blew them out of the water. No comparison at all. Ann's voice was just as strong and clear live, or better, than on the album and Nancy can play that guitar, it's no prop. Damn, it was a warm night but their performance gave me chills. ❤ If you haven't yet listened to their Stairway To Heaven tribute to Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center, do it. It's a masterpiece and incredible live performance, maybe the best ever. I cant stop listening to it when I pull it up 😂
@anitabreakone13 жыл бұрын
Wow, watch Nancy play that guitar! Vintage Heart, this is great. I was only 18 when I first saw them live. They really rocked the house. No other females in the industry were doing what they were doing at that time. Both beautiful ladies and both have beautiful voices. Ann always seemed like the stronger of the two, but I've got a feeling that wasn't the way it really was. I think Nancy was really the one who held them together through it all. Howard Leese is great also.
