One of the concepts that's helped me the most is the idea of the "level 0 version" of my routines. It's essentially the smallest possible version of the task that still feels like I can cross it off my list, even if I haven't done the full version. (Half-assing, quarter-assing, or even hundreth-assing is okay so long as there is *any amount* of forward momentum!) So maybe my normal routine is 30 minutes of intermediate yoga every day. But the "level 0" / low energy version is 10 minutes of light stretching. The "level 0" version of doing the dishes might be to rinse everything off and to stack it neatly next to the sink. The "level 0" version of a writing day might be to reread my last section and spend 5 minutes brainstorming the next section. Stuff like that. I've found it very helpful to maintain my sense of momentum (#2 Discipline in the Clifton Strengths) while still respecting that sometimes I can't do my full routine.

Holy Cow! I Am the Golden Goose! And I have been beating myself to a pulp on the days when I just can't produce an egg! That was such a slap in the face - a good one - one that I needed. Thank you. I have so much on my plate right now, so much counting on me, and so many frogs that I just can't get myself to eat right now, but when I can't get things done like I think I should then I bludgeon myself to death then wonder why I spontaneously start crying. Wow! Thank you for an amazing low-energy day video. I am so grateful you shared this. Thanks.

This video was perfectly timed for me. My husband died a few weeks ago and I'm struggling to get back to working on everything I need to do and was feeling guilty about not having achieved much today. Thank you.
@ImmortalMomentsArt Жыл бұрын
Grieving takes different forms for different people, don't beat yourself up. Just pick one thing of self care to do. Do it. Then pick one thing of "must do", and work on it. {Hugs} And release the guilt. There is no "perfect time" to get over things, or to start "doing things".

Omg so sorry 😢 I’d be a puddle of useless misery for many many months much less weeks! Don’t feel obligated to “human” when you’re grieving. You have permission to be a sad blob.

I needed to hear this today. I've been having flare ups with my PCOS for a few months now. So, I made a list in my notebook of low energy things I can do today while watching. Thank you for the encouragement and the reminder to rest and focus on self-care. Water is so important for so many reasons too. Much love ❤️

I woke up yesterday and I knew it probably wasn't going to go well because it was the 8th anniversary of when my uncle died from Esophageal Cancer and thats always a hard day for me. I had stuff I wanted to get done but I said "nope thats not getting done today, and thats fine. Mental health over productivity today." I'm a little better today but I'm going to continue to rest until the HB90 Kick-off call after church tomorrow. There is nothing so serious that needs to get done that can't wait until I"m in a better mental state.

It's fitting and perfect timing that I found this video on a day i was struggling. Im excited for the HB90 kick-off call today. I've used this system for at least the last 3 years. Every time i find what works for me and what doesn't. I think this quarter, i need to add in the energy tracker and figure out what my low- and high-energy tasks are. Or like another comment said, what's the "level 0 version" of the task so i feel i can officially check it off my list? (That comment was SO inspired!)

If i'm spending the day in bed and l have to do something, l break it down to the most basic steps. Then when l have a one minute burst of energy, l do one step and then l lay back down and truly rest. To my surprise there's another one minute burst of energy and l push myself to do the next step and my reward is that l get to lay back down! If, after l get a step done, l find l have enough energy to get the next step done, l power through... Before l know it the task is finished! 💖🌞🌵😷

I call those days - "No peopling Days". I use my timer set for 20 min. I do 1 small thing for 20 min. Rest for 20 min, repeat. And only do the "have tos". Listen to some good music, drink some water, maybe a favorite drink. Hug the dog (or cat, if he's around). Take my homeopathics. But, it's all things that you say in your video. :)

I’ve been meaning to tell you something I’ve learned about PCOS. I’m not sure if you’re into fasting or open to learning about it, but I highly recommend Dr Mindy Pelz. Fasting doesn’t have to be tons of hours or days even in the beginning, but can be something like 13 hours. I’ve seen over and over how it can cure PCOS (which I don’t have but feel like I’ve been seeing it to pass this on to you.) 😊❤
