Just starting out, been drawing all my life but never thought seriously about it. just bought an ipad pro with sketchbook pro and started learning from you, Blizzard art is by far my favourite. Im thinking of starting my own art profile soon so I will pop back once I have started and show you some of my own art. You sir are very talented and I hope to be as good as you one day.

I love how your work always feels so organic, the way you use your brushes gives everything such a pleasant texture! I've always really enjoyed your videos so I'm glad to hear it brings you joy to make them :) In terms of feedback for the channel... my favourite videos are always the ones where you talk about things that you're passionate about - like twilight monk - or where you're experimenting or designing and showing your thought process... Stuff like your video on Jubee's Rockhouse. It's really inspiring tbh!

Your one of my most favorite artists on here and love what you teach and talk about within it. I totally agree that if you can see in your old works how much to how you have grown from now of them, it's super amazing, fun, and the little bit of cringy. I'm already like that with the little of content I have shown on youtube by which isn't great still lol. I can't wait to see more of your content to be inspired by from and hope you have a wonderful new year!

Trent, you posted a video a while back and you called out the 'Lurkers'. I was so convicted by that - I went and bought your brush pack that night. You've cured me of my lurking ways. I've got some theories on you you did your textured square brush (which I use constantly now). You're a real treasure, Trent.

Trent, I just found you and I love your energy! But aside from your personality, your work completely makes up what I've been looking for in an artist to look up to. I've been trying to improve my simple creativity and my general skills in making my own things, and I keep falling into the cracks, trying to gain momentum. Square one, over and over. I've only recently found your youtube channel and your style is just perfect! This is definitely my new go-to for aspiration and inspiration. If you want an opinion from your new student from-afar, I'd say I could use a bit more of the beginning stages in your drawings. Occasionally, I've noticed that you touch on the reference things that you gather before starting, but usually (it seems) that you start with something that's already made, but my deepest rut seems to be in that stage, getting from step one to step two. The stage between coming up with the idea and getting a base for growth. I'm going to take a page from your book and start with recreating or redrawing game characters and monsters to make sure I'm getting a strong foothold for future creativity. The kung-fu style intrigues me a lot, definitely keep that up. Love you, man! I love your work and I'd love to contact you on a slightly more personal level if possible to discuss artistic, conceptual and/or illustrative growth in a busier schedule. Drawing with le passion.

Heya man, just discovered your channel and have been binge watching it! Love all your work! I am 17 and love game concept art and the sort of stuff you produce but I am not so passionate about classical drawing techniques (life drawing etc etc). Many Thanks!

Thanks Aori. I posted a good number of videos about the fundamentals, but they aren't as exciting as some of the bigger paintings. So they don't get many views. That's why I'm focusing more on the larger paintings like this. But I hope to experiment with a lot of different things this year. Maybe I can make the fundamentals more exciting in some way.

Your art style is fantastic, creatively dazzling, and awe-inspiring. The personality you bring with your art makes it all the more enjoyable. To share, my intended major is sequential art and I love that your whole mindset follows that, with your backstory of coming to be the artist you are and all your work since of telling and creating stories. You have been one of my most influential inspirations. I have purchased the twenty-nine dollar subscription for Sketchbook Pro but on Amazon I've been unable to buy the full version that you show in your videos. How did you come to get it?? Or where else could I try for it?

So sick!! Can you do a multiply layer video. I straight up don't get it haha. Also do you have a sketchbook brush pack??
@TrentKaniuga
@TrentKaniuga 7 жыл бұрын
There's a dropdown menu above all of your layers where it says "normal". Click that and drag it down to multiply. Now draw on a layer under that. It basically makes the multiply layer transparent and multiplies the color and lines with whatever is under it. Airbrush artists used to do something like this with line art on a form of acetate (clear transparent plastic). Then painting under it, it still preserves the line art above it on the acetate. Multiply layers are a simulation of that process.

Hi Trent, i am a subscriber of Sketchbook pro since 2015 but i still can't get rid of photoshop. I meant i love both software but whenever i try out another software (i have krita, paintstorm studio, fire alpaca, affinity designer, tayasui pro, sketchbook pro installed on my mac), my ideas, inspiration, etc go blank! I end up staring on a blank canvas until i open photoshop. The different interface of any other softwares just distracts me :( i dont know whether someone else experiences the same.

My question is.. have you left Photoshop for sketchbook pro? Why? Is it because of sponsorship or is there something you've found to be better in SBP? I myself has left photoshop for SBP, I'm just wondering if our reasons are the same.
@TrentKaniuga

I use many tools. But presently Sketchbook Pro does everything I need it to, in order to make the kind of art that I do on KZbin. The sponsorship only helps me to transition. As I learn more about this software, I share it with my audience. I wouldn't endorse a product that I didn't absolutely love.

Just like music) when creating a song I just taking guitar and starting to play) And some sort of magic happens. It takes time, but in the end your imagination will lead the way subconsciously, and get it done) Adore your paintings, really like to see how details comes out and how you add a volume ( that’s maybe not a proper word to define 3Dness of an object), it’s just never flat)

Great video man! One tiny critique, could the music be a little quieter in between your voice, I found myself constantly turning it down and then turning it up to hear you speak... I also found the music off putting, but that's simply personal taste. For painting videos I love a subtle ambient background track... just a thought.

League of legends has cel shaded characters. It's not as popular as photo bashing, but if you love it, it's better to do what you love and not be "big time" mega famous or rich. That's an empty pursuit. Go with your heart man. Do what you love. The opportunities will follow, and you'll find others that love the same kind of thing that you do.

Trent usually my sketch is on point i mean on point but when i get into rendering color i slowly start to regret it and most people point out that my values are not making sense or not showing up right but by that time i have already rendered about 15+ hours into that picture and i kinda get lost. So in saying that should i just go way back to the original sketch and recolor or stick with it and figure out how to incorporate the values into the picture, and for reference to a picture that i am making here's a link to it forums.cubebrush.co/t/art-war-2d-cyrus-fris/1798/60

I'd like to. But it's hard to find time. Those videos take a whole day to do.

I like your style. Why don't you make real time video? I really would like to learn from you...

Real time videos die on YT, but I wanted to make that sort of thing available for most of my paintings. Check my gumroad if you want to dissect my process.

No it doesn't, but I'm also working with a Nextbook Ares 8...Not exactly within the reaches of say a Samsung or Ipad, performance wise, and because of money cant afford them...BUUUT, it gets the job done for the time being.
