This song kills me everytime, it just completely nails how a Dad feels about his daughter. Love my baby girl so much, she is my world and my everything...my best friend. Being "her Dad" is all I am and all I ever wanna be..it's my joy and honor and privilege to get to be her Dad. From the second the nurse put her in my arms, all my love and time and attention has went to her, and my life before that exact second ceased to exist or matter. Now she is away at college, and man that is so hard for me to adjust to, not being able to hug her every day, looking in her room and not seeing her sitting on her bed doing hw, seeing it empty...i miss being daily Daddy, just miss my girl period. But thats life and I'm so proud of her and I live for those trips to go see her and take her to dinner and catch up, and summer and xmas break. We have found our new normal, but yeah I still tear up really bad like a 210lb baby every time she goes back. I'm gonna be a damn wreck when she gets married one day lol! I have heard that song before, but now I am deployed and just missed the birth of my daughter. I have never cried so hard in my life. I only made it 2:30 into the video, can’t watch any more. This song has different meaning to me now. I felt like Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar watching his kids grow up all at once watching this. Very powerful song.

I got one for you ..it is by Lonestar and it is called Amazed...This is the song I sang up on stage the night i proposed to my girlfriend and this is the 1st song we danced too a year earlier... she went out side to have a cig with our friends and thats when i got up on stage....i could see he coming back in and thats when the music started to play ...she heard the song and came running back knowing she wanted to dance to it until she realized that i wasnt there ...she asked our friends where i was at and the pointed to the stage and she dropped to her knees crying.... at the end of the song i called her up on stage and proposed to my soulmate..... When I got married my uncle, didn’t want me to miss out on anything so he walked me down the isle and “demanded” I do the father dance, I broke down half way through it and couldn’t finish it. Yet, as you see, so often the lyrics and music capture and convey very powerful emotions and sentiments.
