I think regarding Nick's being bisexual from Charlie's point of view is that it doesn't matter who all Nick could be attracted to as long as Nick is attracted to and has feelings for Charlie and is honest with him about it.

Nobody knew they were together because Nick is in the closet and Charlie would never out him, not even to his best friends or his own sister. At the arcade on Charlie's birthday, Charlie says Nick is his friend (despite Tao tearing into him) and Nick gives him a big hug because he realizes that Charlie is putting his friendships at risk for him (and he's also extremely grateful Charlie didn't out him). Isaac was the first to know, technically, because he guessed it immediately. (And Tori too, let's be honest) But Tara was the first person that was explicitly told about it. And by Nick, because Charlie would NEVER out Nick to anyone (not even to Tori! look back at that scene). (Also in the "meddling gays" chat scene, Charlie clearly states Tao and Elle don't know about them) Tao will be the last to know not because Charlie wants to keep it from him, but because he's respecting Nick's pace. Nick told Tara, Darcy and Elle. So NOW Charlie feels like telling Tao would be ok. The problem is that he's afraid of Tao's reaction lol

This show does a lot of good, we are so far from the dramas of today’s "teenagers" shows. Yes it is innocent but it is also close to reality. I was telling my daughter last time that Nick’s character clearly raised the expectations of a relationship. I also love Charlie very much who gives Nick time to understand what happens to him. Kit Connor who plays Nick has a mad talent. We totally feel what can upset Nick without him having to talk. We all want someone who loves us like Nick loves Charlie

"nick is always on the left and Charlie is always on the right". Simple answer is comic's. They used the comic as storyboard. There's certain rules that are followed depending on the type of comic. In black and white you try not to bounce your characters around or it becomes confusing to the reader. The more central character (story wise) is almost always on the left.

But Charlie is really the main character. It’s mainly told from his point of view, at least at first.

I wasn't shocked that Nick came out to the girls at all. When you get to choose how you are going to come out a lot of gay people, myself included, do it in stages. First you tell people that you're really close to who you know will be accepting, then you tell people that you're pretty sure will be cool about it, and you just keep widening the circle of people who know until you're satisfied.

I wasn’t surprised that he told them because I think that was the natural thing to do but I was surprised when he did it. I thought he might talk to Charlie about it first. It seemed to happen so fast.

A little easter egg you might not have noticed is the creator of the web comics, Alice Oseman, is shown in the 3rd text message when people were congratulating Tara and Darcy! Shes the message with the purple background and that's a picture of her!

I love this series. It’s a masterclass in writing and restraint, they had opportunities to always amp up the drama that a lot of shows go for but they have chosen to let moments sit with the audience, even when they choose not to do animations, like when they first kissed they could have had the screen explode with art and they chose to let moment be. It’s wholesome but not corny nor is it exploitive and preachy. I just appreciate it so much

You did it! You said "Imogen". I'm genuinely proud of you, haha. I love the name and wanted to call our daughter Imogen but my husband vetoed it because we don't live in an English-speaking country and we already have a "difficult" last name. Now our daughter has a name only Dutch people know how to pronounce. 😅 I love your reactions!
@YCRhinoReactions2 жыл бұрын
😂 in the US, we pronounce her name I-Mo-Jean so it was throwing me off to hear it pronounced differently.

I'm curious what your last name is now, probably something with an "sch"?
@Luusie2 жыл бұрын
@@DarrellSluis We have an umlaut in our last name, it contains an "ä". It changes the way the A is pronounced and that's a *struggle* for a lot of Dutch people.

I think that he's oblivious to many things, and with Elle, he knew her before she officially transitioned, and Tao identifies as "straight". So, I don't think it occurred to him that he was into Elle on the surface, but subconsciously, he totally does.

I think Tao is the slowest runner might be a reference to the gay people are fast walkers, so the only straight guy is much slower by comparison

@@YCRhinoReactions It's a meme/stereotype... but most stereotypes come from SOMEWHERE, ya know? So there's truth to it in *some* gay people, for sure!

I knew i was gay from a very young age. I just always noticed guys way more than i did girls, and it made me feel different from those around me. Anytime that friends would talk about dating or girls they liked i wouldnt be able to relate at all, i couldn't really see why they felt the way they did. You just know that you don't fit in to that bracket and it can be a really isolating feeling, but shows like this really resonate because of that. In my experience at least ❤ Hope that gives some context on how people know their sexuality, of course it may be very different for others!
@YCRhinoReactions2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I’ve always wondered ( in a curious, not judgmental way) but I haven’t felt comfortable asking the LGBT people in my life how they knew because I thought it was a rude question to ask someone. I just accept that it’s something they figured out for themselves somewhere along the way.
@matt-patrickpsychology79572 жыл бұрын
@@YCRhinoReactions I don't think it is rude at all, it is a perfectly reasonable thing to question, especially when you might not have any personal experience with it. It is amazing of you to want to know in the first place 😊
@IsraelLlerena2 жыл бұрын
@@YCRhinoReactions i actually really like that question. It shows me that someone cares about learning about my experience. Maybe other people might not like it I guess but I feel like it’s a good question! I had my first gay crush in kindergarten but then I liked girls at other times too. This is the time when other people start developing innocent crushes. I definitely lean more gay than bisexual now but I definitely had these feelings from an early age
@georgeweatherford10272 жыл бұрын
I find the question, when done in an open way, is wonderful. If it is about wanting to know more who I am, please do ask me that question. It shouldn't be the ONLY question you ask about someone's life, but should definitely be a question.

To Nick, it's not a strange time to bring up that he thinks he's bisexual. Charlie is concerned with people catching on that they're a thing, but if you remember back to Ep. 4, Nick said he just needs some time to figure out what he identifies as. Now that he thinks he has an answer, he thinks that he might be ready to come out. I think that's really the only thing that has been holding him back at this point, that and Harry being a dick.
