Heavenly isn't the only one that uses "gamer" as a replacement. One of my black friends who TO'd for fighting games had to stop using the n-word because it got him kicked out of a venue for saying it so much, so he started censoring himself in public places by saying "gamer" instead. He thought it was funny though, so he went all-in on it during Discord calls and saying things like "Yo, wassup my game'uhs." The irony is that just about everyone in our friend group is, in fact, a gamer, so it was actually appropriate.
