Tom's run was a game changer. He deserved to take the win. Gutted for him, because, why even bother competing in another Rampage after that? 4th place is such a slap in the face.

Can we just stop the this rider deserve the win and this and that. It's always Tom, Brendog, TVS, Godziek etc. deserve the win. Too much glazing on your favorite rider

@@ROSE-by5su it's hard to stop when the judging criteria changes from year to year. It's also becoming hard to tell what kind of competition this is when most of the crew is sending it huge on dual crowns and a select few are doing tailwhips on smaller features. It's easy for you to sit back and say you don't care, but these riders are risking their lives to put food on the table for their families. It would be nice if they actually knew what they were doing it for.

@GlassJack oh fuck I thought it was Tom isted lmao but I'll put TVS in 3rd or 2nd he's far from the 1st but for sure 3rd and close for 2nd. Freeride are focused on many things like line creativity did Brendog has it but does he have big sends like TVS?Nope, But does TVS and Godziek have flow in their run? Nope but Semenuk have balanced both. Did all riders except Semenuk rode their lines with style and steeze, Not really some of them look like just riding but where's the style the sauce in it. Look at every detail be an artist. No one notice small details even how the dirt reacted upon the landing counts, Even how someone hit the berm counts it all counts. The problem is people watch only the highlights of the run not the details.

LOVE the pipe analogy. and I think it speaks to the spirit of Rampage in the severity of these moves. when guys get shacked on the biggest set at a pipe event... everybody finishes different, some go for a turn and just blow it cuz its the end corner of a pipe wave, some just jump out the back with a superman, some land an air... but none of that matters, doesnt affect the score, we all know what we came for when we turned on a pipe event. we wanted the biggest deepest longest barrel and thats what gets scored and wins that event. if you go to a pipe event and try to surf it like its trestles... 'ur gonna have a bad time'

I think toms flip was the most ridiculous/Epic thing i might have ever seen and we have seen some mad shit in extreme sport and to watch him get a score like that was heart breaking this was the biggest robbery in rampage history

It’s kinda like a slightly juiced up Bienve run from last year. It’s so competitive now nothing else in his line was really ground breaking and we know he could kinda do better. It’s hard to say it should score higher than Godziek when he also did a front flip but kept the intensity quite a bit higher during the entire run and I also think Tyler mccaul had a better top to bottom run but it is all subjective. Whenever you argue someone underscored you’re gonna have to name some dudes who definitely deserve to be on the podium that you think over scored

Absolutely understand everything said in this video. But maybe you are forgeting that you donť want another rider to end up same as Paul Basagoitia! You don't want to actively push the risk even higher! Scoring super high on such a mental stunt would lead to riders focusing just on that and would push them over their limits in pursuit of victory. Thats why Semenuk won - he showed his unmatched skills without risking everything.

These pair have shared a line with there self's or 4 5 offers and done half the work! Thought rampage was about building the run and riding it! Not sharing the work with all your mates
