Hi Julie, welcome! T4’s are fab 👌 If it was just me n the dog (or me & Jonny I guess 🤣) then I couldn’t be happier going in a T4, we actually did a month in Scotland in 2017 in my T4 and it was a brilliant trip!

Nice to see another video from you Janey. Looking gorgeous as ever. ❤🏳️‍🌈 Janey you mentioned that you may go to Scotland, can you have a check of the latest that’s happening in Scotland. Scotland passed the Visitor Levy Bill at the end of May which was confirmed as an Act on July 5, 2024, and is designed to allow a visitor levy to be charged on overnight stays in some types of accommodation. There is talk people in campervan and motorhomes could be charged £20 a day in certain locations, it’s down to each local authority as to how they interpret and enforce this new bill. A lot of places now seem to be not wanting tourists and seem to be bringing in speed restrictions, parking fines charges and other things to discourage people

Thanks Matt, I didn’t know about that bill. I do know that many places are sick to death of the mass of campervans everywhere, and places like the NC500 and some of the islands now bar them or charge (in fact one island I looked at us travelling to yesterday won’t even let your camper onto the ferry unless you can prove you have a legit booking at their one campsite!). Thankfully we want to go into the mountains and disappear, far far away from any touristy places so think we should be fine 🤞

Jane, come to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 but obviously ‘travel slowly!’ You’ll love it 🥰….hopefully you’ll pass through Perthshire and we’ll get to see you on your travels (as we’d love one of your shiny new stickers ❤ I’m collecting them to make a cover on my table 🤔) I’ve made similar insulated blackout blinds for the windows & also our dogs crate as our JRT 🐶 thinks it’s full to wake us up at dawn light 🙈 loving the leather ties think I may need to duplicate that idea 💡 thanks for the inspiration

Heck yes to the sticker (although they are so blinking tiny they won’t make much impact on your table I’m afraid! 🤣) Not sure of route or destination yet, but hope to have some plan put together before we leave 🤞🤣

Anywhere in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is fabulous so wherever you choose will be awesome 🤩 Need to collect a few more stickers until I have enough for the mini surf 🏄‍♀️ table idea 💡 lol 😂 Also need to think of a cool way to re craft my festival wristbands as I can’t bare to throw them away…any ideas? 💡

Haha, did you ever make paper chains at school at Xmas time? That’s what we do with all our festival wristbands bands - just staple them into one (crazy long!) festive festy chain 🤣🤣🤣

Oh, you have them too??! Are they in every village/town now? Apparently they are in Wales and it’s become a beggar to actually get anywhere (and still have your license at the end of it!) 🤣

@@hedgecomber I don't think we're quite as bad as Wales (yet), but most of the towns and villages here in the Highlands have them now. I'm not sure about other council areas, but I'm guessing it's country-wide. They're signposted to the hilt, so quite clear when you're heading into a 20, but yes, it's very hard to drive that slow!

Oh you are?! Edinburgh looks beautiful, and like it has some awesome architecture, we won’t make it on this trip (this one’s all about the dog), but I do hope to one day ☺️

Great to see the progress being made on Noodle. And I am keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed that all goes smoothly so you can head off on your adventure... 🤞 Ah Trago Mills - the place where everybody in Cornwall and Devon seemed to head on a Sunday afternoon (back in the 60's) to gridlock the whole Liskeard area. The wasted hours I spent sat on a lava-temperature vinyl covered seat, in the back of a non air-conditioned old car arguing with my siblings - what some now call the "good old days". But I suppose it helped 'build character'... 😂

Ahh, Trago! I don’t know how much longer they’ll be a thing to be honest, their overheads must be eye watering and they get no where near the footfall that they used to. Unless they can move sales online… 🤷‍♀️
