They definitely overcharge for the swap kit for 10k the price of a decent used car lol. I always loved these car and i see many blown up clean ones around here i might just do this. Ill just have to justify the cost in my head but i guess ill smile driving it. .

Well... a LS swap is actually cheaper, not much heavier and way more power but the k swap is great

@@xela79 if you were to buy a mounting kit and k24 and a mounting kit and LS the LS will be cheaper. This is even if you used a ls2 and trans setup out of a gto. If you wanted to go way cheap you buy a ls1 t56 pull out or an aluminum 5.3 and buy t56 separetly. Wiring specialties makes full plug and play harness where everything works. Have you looked at what these places charge for kswap kits including the flywheel clutch assembly you need? Radiator etc. K24 have gotten more expensive too. Best case they are the same price. At the same price I just don't feel like it's worth swapping for 200 na HP vs easy 4-500

@@Shiftheads I have to agree K series are pretty high end engine when it comes to upgrades as well there is no cheap cutting corners with them. 200na HP can easily be 240na hp with just simple header exhuast and intake with a tune. but those 3 things get expensive even more than doing fbo with an ls in alot of cases

True, but then you will spend a ton more in consumables & maintenance

@@TripSkyWalker that is true. Definitely for tires. Pads and Rotors last a while. The 86 is a lot lighter than an e9x m3 both stock and stripped. M3 has better aftermarket in my opinion. It also has a lot more potential. And will always be faster unless it's a very small/tight track when fully prepped. But there's like driving a really light car so that's what intrigues me

no offense a k swapped brz is way different from that and more fun and raw. ive driven a supra b58 its got a dull edge its a dull experience and they dont handle THAT much better but they are faster lol
