I LOVE Hedwig so much! I felt like this show was so well cast for it's entire run, until Taye Diggs. I don't know if his casting was what made the show have to close, but IMO he just wasn't right for the role.

Agreed. However, I still thought he was hilarious at certain parts of the show and his vocals sounded really good in the slower songs as well.

Agreed----JCM wrote it for himself and embodies the role in a way that no one else quite can. But it was a great idea for NPH's return to Broadway and to musicals.

I think he did a wonnderful job. However, when I was a lost and confused teen and saw the movie, it was heartbreaking. Yes Hedwig had humour, but it was ultimately a tragedy. Hearing the audience laugh so much fealt very odd to me

i think that the movie has a much more different tone than the broadway show. the jokes in the movie arent made for people to laugh at, however with the show they are. they r told in very different ways
