I have a Scout Bobber 20. I upgraded the suspension and the seat. It's my everyday driver, and ride 100+ miles on the weekend with my club. It's perfectly comfortable with the upgrades and I can ride it all day, no soreness. If I had the current bobber, I would want it to be like my Bobber 20. I would have to upgrade the suspension, change the handlebars to the 10" apes. Of course they don't offer laced wheels in the Scout Bobber, only on the Super Scout and the Scout Classic. $1200.00 to buy them separate. All in all, to turn the current bobber into my bobber 20, the cost would be such that I could just buy a Chief instead and the price would be so close as to not make any difference. Of course, none of that will stop me from entering. 😆

I have listened for 4 minutes. During that time you have not said anything constructive about the topic. All you did was talk about yourself. I am 81. I have owned models from all major brands with about 20 Harley’s and until 3 years ago no Indians. However, my last two purchase were a 16 and a 21 Scout ABS. I decked them out to my fit/size and my way for touring. Bottom line: These 2 Scouts are the best motorcycles I have ever owned and ridden. I agree with some of the other responders that you should not bad-mouth a motorcycle that simply does not fit you. You are a relative heavyweight guy. I’m a relative lightweight. I have been a motorcycle riding instructor in my younger days. I can tell you that lightweight folks can ride big bikes but big guys should hesitate to ride lightweight bikes. Now at older age it’s becoming harder and harder to maneuver big heavy bikes in parking lots. I now prefer the lighter bikes like these Scout and Sportster. Again, if you’re gonna talk about an issue STAY with the issue and stay focused on that.

Next time, invest a bit more and purchase the Indian that suites you better. You're a heavy dude, so make sure you purchase a bike that has shocks and a seat and handlebars that better suite you, rather than buying something that doesn't suite you and pointing it out as a negative. Lighter, nimbler, riders wouldn't have the same issue(s) you have with this particular model. Your title for this advertisement doesn't sit well with me, as it implies that there is something wrong with Indian motorcycles. You know this, so I recommend using language that doesn't imply negativity toward Indian motorcycles. I ride an Indian Roadmaster and absolutely love it. A guy your size would be better off to invest in a larger bike... otherwise, modify the bike as you suggested, and you will have yourself a bike you enjoy riding.

The issue I have with this bike so far is that I don’t trust the digital tach. Sure it says I’m doing 60 or 100 but I don’t trust those figures cause it’s not analog. I have a Scout 101 that I’ve only put about 80 miles on so far (trying to use it as my commuter so not riding it needlessly) and the limited + tech option is cool being able to use cruise control and let your throttle hand rest a bit. The onboard navigation I haven’t fiddled with much because there is a lot of options to click through in the menus. My biggest gripe is that the ride command shows TPMS sensors but the bike doesn’t even come installed with tpms. I paid msrp 16,750

I don’t understand dudes that have ridden a chief then go and buy a scout. I’ve ridden my buddy’s scout with performance upgrades, the chief is infinitely better in every way. More comfortable, more powerful where it matters, more stable, sounds way way way better, engine brakes way better, makes the right vibrations and looks better. Makes the scout feel like a Japanese bike. Scout is still a nice bike but with the price being so close to chief. I don’t get it

I'm considering for my next bike. I have a scrambler 1200xc. Love it to death. Want a shorter road only bike and am considering the scout or chief sport among others. Is the chief sport really head and shoulders over a scout?
@Rambiker2023chief4 ай бұрын
@@logangodofcandy look if you’re the type that values numbers on paper, the scout has more hp and less weight and might be quicker to 60 by a hair. If you value experience, the chief is better in literally every way. Test them both. For me the chief looked better and had more presence on the road. The torque hits like a sledgehammer in sport mode and it doesn’t require to rev to the moon to get moving. A twist of the throttle in any gear will get you out of a bad situation. You’ll need to downshift 3 gears to get that torque out of a scout. Test ride all your options and pick what your heart desires. Not what the internet says or the specs suggest

@Rambiker2023chief3 ай бұрын
@@jps4737 I believe I’m entitled to my opinion as you are yours. Chief is just better everywhere that’s not a race track. To me the scout it felt more Japanese in that its power is up in the rev range and pretty gutless under 5000 rpm where the chief is at peak power at that rpm. So to each his own. A sporty bike with cruiser looks or a cruiser with gobs of torque. We give opinions and the OP will pick what resonates with them. Cheers

This is literally one of the lowest center-of-gravity bikes on the market? It's more likely that it's just too heavy in general for you or the handle bars & seat combo needed some adjustments.
