I'm 6'1" and while I think this surgery is barbaric, I disagree with you. Everyone has their insecurities. I most certainly have mine. If I could change my skin color, I would. Long story, don't want to get into it. If you're ok with your particular thing, then good for you. But if it's something that bothers the crap out of you and you have the chance to change it, I don't blame people for wanting to do so. With that said, I've heard of people doing this with horrific results, including the leg literally breaking again as they were walking down the street, never healing correctly and them needing a cane for the rest of their life, nerve damage, it's just something that if you're going to do, you really, REALLY need the best surgeons doing it and you should know the risks.

I researched this after seeing GATTACA years ago It takes a LONG time to accomplish - and there is a limit to how much they can lengthen - and it it relatively small ( 2" only is recommended ) by sane doctors. AND it costs $ 75,000 minimum.

I worked with a guy who was 6 foot 8 and everyone in the office was always complimenting him as if it was some sort of achievement he'd earned 🤣 People would ask him to reach cups on the top shelf and then compliment his tallness. No wonder so many guys are willing to pay for that admiration.

as a short man, 57, was 5'6" now 5'5". I was a champion wrestler, a competitive body builder and have had DOZENS of girl friends, (now married). My height inspired my out going , friendly , competitive nature. Driven to be better. My body looks excellent for any 57 year old. My height made me who I am.

I don't think I have the genetic marker for dwarfism, but I am as tall as the tallest dwarf (4'10"). Fortunately I'm female, but it is still really hard to reach stuff, and I can't use a lot of standard things like many exercise machines, and clothes never fit me right. I previously thought only children could get leg and arm lengthening surgery since bones stop developing with adulthood. Maybe someday I'll win the lottery, and I can finally make it to 5'?

I worked a large organisation where the CFO was 6'6. His two next-in-command guys were 6'5 and 6'3. They were used to everyone admiring them and looking up to them so they had the confidence to apply for those sorts of jobs. If you're a man, being short is almost a sin. I think the surgery is barbaric, but let's just say I understand. Society is cruel and if you can actually change a quality about you that you don't like, why not do it? With that said, I've heard of way too many stories of this type of surgery going bad, so I wouldn't do it if I were short because of that, even if I had the money.

I’m 53 I want to be taller but I’m happy with my height I would not want to put myself through that type of surgery because it’s too painful and you have to have people literally turn the screws that they put in your legs and it’s painful I’ve seen videos of other people who do it. ❤😊

Join an adults hobby club, sports, geek, skating/ biking, hiking whatever it is that your hobby is. Join a group that meets up for that hobby regularly. Make friends. Friends either turn into more or send you on blind dates with people they've otherwise vetted as not the harmful kind of crazy. Meeting someone at a club or bar is for whoopee and bad decisions, not for a lifetime. A couple with a shared hobby are stronger and there's no pretense. You join the club and even if it's all men, making friends and figuring out confidence is the first step. No legs, no arms 3 feet tall oblongs looking dude has a great relationship, you're definitely taller than him. Charisma is learned not innate. You can't learn if most of your human interaction it without faces. LDR with Skype and phone calls is different than ppl you only chat with online and never meet. Nobody is just naturally good at talking with people. Takes practice.
