They don’t do full reviews anymore. they just milk news videos and show / movie impressions, because it’s easier to make and that gives Joe more time to get drunk and mess around. he’s already said those videos take weeks of work for little pay off. the last like 5 angry reviews have been super late anyway, some of them came out over a month after the game came out and if you don’t release that video day one or within the first week you’re losing boat loads of views. I think they’re slowly phasing out those types of reviews for these short impressions. It makes sense but it sucks, it’s the only reason I watch this drunk dude anyway.

They did NOT expect to get this kind of response. Servers at capacity, all day, every day. Personally I love the restrictive gameplay. You can waste ammo if you reload too early, you need to input cheat codes on the directional pad to use abilities, then throw, then wait for them to drop. You are slow, and weak, and die easily. Proper preparation and planning is key. No power fantasies here, just brutal sacrifice and “DOING YOUR PART.” I’m hooked.

Its ALWAYS been like that since HellDivers 1. I loved it but never got my friends into playing it. (maybe because of the View perspective in the previous one) I had it on PS4 and PC and got the Mech and the M5 Assault Vehicle with a lot of other weapons unlocked. Pro-Tips: You can carry the Autocannon and Recoiless Rifle backpacks to reload yourself (it’s just slower). You can also keep yourself supplied with the Ammo Backpack (it’s not just for your teammates) by using down directional on PS5. For Chargers: Shred the armor on one of the front two legs (you’ll see green blood) using the expendable rockets (or anything better) and take the leg out. This game is so cinematic without trying to be. The music, graphical presentation, communication with the command center etc makes you feel like your in a war movie. games fantastic. biggest complaint about the game is the kick mechanic, if your the leader you can just boot people for no reason at any time, i refuse to play as anything other than squad leader because the people are so toxic with kicking. games 2 min in and there are only 2 of you? kicked halfway through clearing the first outpost. extract ship is on its way down? kicked to troll you. ally just dropped an airstrike on your head? they kick you instead. no voting for kicks, and there is no punishment system for people who abuse the kick system

Why this game is awesome. A bunch of really straight forward, fun, working mechanics put together, with a satirical fun ride. Good for them, all the more money and power to them.

seeing how rare co-op horde shooters are, i appreciate them more dearly. im happy HD2 came as an amalgamation of the genre akin to previous titles. being engaging (task based mini-puzzle games during the chaos 😂), fun, team oriented (those reinforcement drop kills are satisfying), rewarding and worth it character progression, notably the unintrusive/non-FOMO season pass model for a live service game, and the hub-like openworld extraction that blends well for the co-op horde shooter genre underneath al l that it still has an AI director.

Well they really pulled the bait and switch, now forcing playstation accounts on everyone well past after being able to get a refund. Someone should open up a class action lawsuit for this so called grace period that noone's heard of.

dudes trashing the bots with basic assault rifle helping the case on the bot front, good luck and keep them reinforcements coming! (one of the best games i played in years, so simple, yet so attention grabbing, simple gameplay loop, but yet, so compeling. Not counting baldurs gate 3 cos it's a completely different game genere for me)

That friendly fire is the real secret sauce in the formula. Check out their earlier titles like Magicka which is a top down fantasy game with the same friendly fire mechanics. Think slinging a fireball and killing your whole team.

I mean theyre kinda right in a way, theres a lot of people who want to play the game but cant cuz they cant even connect. If i were you I would do what I and alot of other people are doing, which is waiting a couple weeks for them to iron out the game and upgrade the player capacity so we arent spending more time trying to get into the game than playing the game itself.

Cyborgs mostly reminds me of Stroggs from Quake 2 and 4 with some Terminator touch to it :) But yeah they need to fix the server troubles. Every day so far there is new peak of people playing. On Steam there are now 430k people playing.

Every single mission feels like being in an action movie with the crazy things that can and will happen every single mission. You basically have a terminator and starship troopers game in 1 $40 package
