Stolas was banished. Octavia wasn’t. Plus she is about to turn 18. She can do what she’d like soon! I’m hoping she runs. We know Stolas is depressed about Octavia. I doubt he actually cares about his titles and all that. I think Blitz won’t let people treat him horribly because he loves him. I think Blitz and IMP will work to get Octavia to him or at minimum get a message to him, The truth will come out. I think Octavia will be supportive of her dad and Blitz eventually.

14:41 it's hard to believe that Octavia wont be hurt by Stolas doing what he did to save blitzø. He also thought he was sacrificing his life, which I'm sure would be very upsetting to Via, knowing that Stolas almost just died for blitzø without even saying goodbye to her. I also think the scene with Luna and Blitzø in Mastermind, where Stolas is obviously affected, is foreshadowing a rocky relationship between him and Via. Of course, I don't think she'd want Blitzø to get executed, but I'm fairly sure she's going to feel like this is Stolas choosing him over her again. Not only that, but she might view Blitzø and Stolas' relationship as a purely sexual one, and thinking that your dad almost just died to save the guy he cheated on your mom with isn't the easiest situation, no matter how awful Stella is. I've always thought it was interesting how Via seemed to blame both her parents for their arguments when they seemed pretty one-sided to the audience, but she might just tune all of it out. I think Stella is going to do her best to play house, trying to act like a good mother in order to lead Via to believe Stolas' presence was the issue, or turn her against him in some way. I'd love for her to be understanding, but I don't think it makes sense story-wise, since Stolas said he lost everything. I don't think he cares about losing his status, I'm sure losing his powers was a bummer, but what I feel he meant was that he lost his daughter. The other punishments aren't too consequential, and also temporary, so if Via just comes and visits whenever, (AT Blitzø's place, which I'm sure she wouldn't be thrilled about) I'd be a little lost on what exactly the point was of emphasizing Via's fear of abandonment.

As far as Octavia was concerned, Stolas essentially showed her that he would rather die for his affair partner than ensure that she doesn’t end up fatherless. I think she kinda represent what kids with "divorced" parents feels. I'm no expert, but they sometimes have some kind of guilt that make them feel that they're the one that's at fault and that their parents don't love them anymore just because they don't love each other. Sometimes parents don't realise what divorce has an impact to their children, and sometimes they force each other to be together for them. This is just me, but I think this shows not only what a child feels when their parents are drifting apart, but also what a parent should understand and teach-that sometimes love (such as marital love) doesn't last, but the bond between child and parent should and/or will never fade away (unless otherwise-there are exceptions).

The saddest part of the episode is when Stolas tries to explains to Octavia why their familly is the way it is... he tries to say that Stela is a b*tch to him , that they dont love each other or that their marriage was arranged. But he choses to hide those facts so he wont break the facade he tries to keep for the sake of Olivia to have a close to normal life , a thing Stolas sadly didnt have. Best written character of the show by far , hope to see more moments like this one.

@@LilFrg I think it actually reflects something well in his life, the fact he never received any romantic love. I mean, think about it, his dad didn't even care and was negligent, he probably never saw his mother, Stella was arranged for a marriage with him and didn't love him anyways, and the only time he felt comfortable or felt a sense of love was in bed. The fact that the only time he felt loved was in bed with Blizto would make sense that he acts perverted in such a way, because he's been deprived of love for so long that once he feels it in bed, he can't get his mind off of it. So when he acts perverted, it's in such a way because that's the only way he knows how to receive any kind of love or attention for that matter. Idk, just my opinion I thought to share.

I could buy Stolas and Stella not being close and mainly staying together due to Goetian Familial obligations (and for Octavia's sake) but it just doesn't make sense that Octavia would only RECENTLY see the bitterness and turmoil in her parents' marriage. The Stella we see in S2 would not have even pretended she cared about Stolas and Octavia. Her bile and hatred make far more sense if the affair is what broke the family apart. The murderous rage Stella shows in E5 smacks of feeling betrayed and jilted. S2 Stella likely wouldn't even care Stolas cheated so long as he kept it secret from her friends. They definitely would have not shared a bed.

Hoping episode 7, or 8, touches more on Stolas and his family problems. This episode does end with him paving way for his relationship to his daughter being repaired but there's still the other, greater, beast that is Stella. Will grant some benefit of the doubt in her anger towards Stolas as it is justified if we're talking purely about the fact Stolas is cheating on her. Though, there's more to it than that because she seemed more bothered that Stolas had been having an affair with an Imp rather than the fact that he was cheating on her.

yeah, especially because the way Stolas was "talking" about it at first before deciding he didn't really ahve the right words to say at all, it seemed like something was going on before he cheated on her. Normally I wouldn't justify cheating, but it's possible Stella was acting like this towards him but on the down low, or being abusive in some way. Some abuse isn't obvious and it probably isn't easy to escape in the situation Stolas is in. Plus there's Octavia. He clearly loves Via and doesn't want to even risk her being alone. He knows it scares her and even if it didn't scare her, he loves her more than anything and may have just wanted things to be normal for her. But obviously there's more going on, plus we know now that Stella is trying to have Stolas fucking murdered for cheating on her, soooo there's plenty to be covered over it all.

Personally I like the scene where Stolas is trying to explain how he feels about Stella. I'd think it would be hard to explain you don't love your kid's mother anymore to them since the kid sees you two as mom and dad. I think single parents, or divorced parents can probably relate to Stolas in some ways.

It's the first episode where Vivziepop and Sam Haft of The Living Tombstone worked together, and the first song he makes is the one thing from this series you can show to nearly everyone on this planet and they will enjoy it. It helped that both Sam and Bryce are fathers, which also explains why Sam's favorite Helluva character to write songs for is Stolas. Sam would then go on to be the composer for the Hazbin Hotel series, bringing in his friend Andrew Underberg after they worked on Helluva S2 Ep7. This episode also establishes that it's got the chops for well-written and agonizingly relatable drama. Plus, the foreshadowing with Octavia's fears and Blitzø’s history with Fizz have laid the groundwork for some of the biggest emotional payoffs in Season 2 and potentially beyond. Hazbin Hotel lit the match. Loo Loo Land started the fire ❤️‍🔥
