Hi Henry, I live in Mortimer common , it is a beautiful village and a great place to live. It’s our bit of paradise. ❤️ love the video, they are indeed some beautiful walks in the village and surrounding areas.

Thanks for this video Henry, I have been waiting for this since you highlighted it on Facebook. Mortimer is my local station, although I don't live in Mortimer. A number 2 or 2A bus from Reading generally terminate there near the shops. I am also involved monthly social meeting in the village hall, which is a bit further west, down the left fork just past St John's Church.

I lived Mortimer for 60 years, mis-spent much of my childhood riding on that cast iron horse. There used to be a 'witches hat' style roundabout contraption ther as well.

Times are changing, so I hope we don't lose our churches and villages in the future. The Lada years ago was the butt of car jokes due to it being cheap and driving like a tractor,I thought they were a work horse based on a Fiat car.

Thank you for joining me! Yes, Lada Rivas are based on the Fiat 124.
