Antoinette has never been one to shy away from adventure. She moved to Spain in 2013 and started a successful international travel abroad company for minority teens and young adults. So when Covid-19 hit and she was forced back to the States, she attacked van life with that same gusto. Her luxury Dodge Promaster Van 1500 conversion, "Zion" is a must see. She had a professional builder help with the build and she made sure that all of her boxes were checked. Gold accents throughout the van and space for an air fryer make Antoinette feel right at home. One of the best parts of this tour is Antoinette discussing the community of van life, and how that helped her grow as a person. I always look for toilet and shower, if the van doesn't have it, I move to the next video no matter how awesome the camper van might be. I also hate the ones that have their port a potty next to their food area and just hide it....looks very unsanitary. Your van is stunning, great job.

Not to sound like That person, but I really do enjoy seeing POC van lifers being interviewed, bc vanlife for POC is drastically different than that of non-POC- regarding safety, hypervigilance of surrounding, racism, etc. I dont think she touches on that aspect Too much here to keep the interview light maybe, but I still appreciate the visibility of poc vanlifers.

Its just that POC coverage in media is generally much lacking and a very different life in comparison to non-poc. The drastic difference due to systemic racism cant be denied Esp since vanlife channels are usually based in America and/or Canada, not usually in areas like mexico where a white woman may stand out more.

You're upset that she didn't play the race card more during her van tour - maybe because the colour of her skin DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. When you're living in a vehicle parked in a public area, it doesn't matter what race you are, it requires more vigilance from EVERYONE. All that matters is this woman's van is DAMN nice and skin tone does. Not. Make. A. Difference.
