Poor Hades. One of the few decent gods in the Mythos, yet because of his job, he's always painted as a bad guy. Your job and/or appearance always gets you labeled. Same with Frankenstein's monster. @@michaelparham1328 Fun fact: _”The Rape of Persephone”_ isn’t the same definition of "rape” nowadays, kinda… It also meant to be pillaged, robbed, and/or kidnapped, being hostage against your will. Hades wasn’t forced to become “The God of The Underworld” or the “Lord of The Dead”. After the Titanochamy (The War of Olympians vs Titans), Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades drew straws to see who would rule which domain and spheres. Zeus won and drew the straw that granted him title of “King of The Gods and Heavenly Skies.” Poseidon drew and won the title for “Ruler of The Oceans & Seas”, as well as “The Great Earth-shaker” (God of earthquakes and tsunamis). Finally, Hades drew and won his appropriate title. Hades was also “The God of Wealth” because he has access to all the rare gemstones, treasures, and metals beneath the earth, including also fertile soils and wellsprings. He *won* if you ask me.

In my opinion, Gaia wouldn’t have given Zeus the title of “King of The Olympians, Gods, and Heavenly Skies” if he went to war with all of her children. The deal was only to overthrow and usurp Kronus for his tyranny, not the entire Titan pantheon. She felt betrayed seeing and feeling all of her children suffer and in misery, wrongfully imprisoned when it should have been just Kronus. That is why she mated with Tartarus and begotten Typhon, the Father of Monsters and Deity of Chaos & Natural disasters. A fun Greek mythology fact they accidentally (or maybe not?) included in the movie was during the scene where the Titans are starting to head to Zeus. Mount Olympus wasn't always the seat of power in Greek mythology. In fact, the Titans, before being imprisoned, lived on Mount Othrys. Obviously being imprisioned, they wouldnt have known the gods later relocated to Mount Olympus, so when they bust out of Tartarus and are headed in a very clear direction before Hades (snarkily of course) corrects them by pointing out they're headed the wrong way, they were headed for where they BELIEVED Zeus would have been hanging out, their old kingdom on Othrys!

Even though there are some inaccuracies regarding the real myths, I still love the way the Theoi (Greek gods) are portrayed in this movie. I wish that the Norse pantheon could get the same treatment. So, for the next one, I'm going to suggest a lesser known yet beloved classic: Oliver and Company. A Don Bluth movie he made for Disney before he went on to make his own iconic films (American Tail, Land Before Time, A Troll in Central Park).

Speaking of Don Bluth, another one is Thumbelina, if Oscar ever wants to do that one 🌸
