The cost in money and time would be absolutely staggering. Not to mention all the skills one would need to have on an elite level. Reverse engineering a car of that spec is beyond crazy for a couple of dudes in a garage.

You will have to get your head around what amounts of work bugatti put into this car. It's not like they just designed parts and then put it together. Every part is specially designed to work perfectly with the rest of the parts. Reverse engineering that stuff from a working model is one hell of a job, reverse engineering it from this wreck will be next to impossible. This is on an airplane level of complexity. Well, it kinda fits since it's almost as fast as an aircraft.

Augsome That’s just to buy the car, it would likely be another 300k to get it running. I know tavarish was thinking 500k total but I guarantee he’s forgetting some things or something else will come up that costs extra and it wouldn’t take long to add up. 600k seems like a big stretch for a go fund me so someone with 2 Lamborghinis, a Bentley and a few Mercedes can buy himself a Bugatti. Maybe if he turned it into a raffle and gave it away at the end or auctioned it off when it’s done and donated the proceeds to a charity. Even then though I do not think a go fund me would get anywhere near as much as would be needed.

We make aftermarket wheels for Bugatti's. You can run a Sport Cup 2's or P Zero's on the car in a 20x10 21x12.5 that keeps the OE front to rear OD's within OE specs to keep the drivetrain happy. The only issue is there is not any current TPMS alternative to make the dash light happy. But if you're ok with a TPMS light you can avoid the 80k expense of the OE option. Most Veyron/Chiron owners that put miles on their cars actually buy aftermarket setups to actually drive on and keep the OE stuff in boxes due to the cost.
