I hate making negative comments. So I won't. But this guy was in to much of a hurry to get veiws. He didn't even spend 5 minutes looking at the car. He's just winging it. He did alright. But there a plenty of reviews on the LS 430. That are really informative. I watched a review with 380.000 miles on it. It use to e mine 10 years ago. Yes I own another one a 2006 LS 430 I bought with 99k miles in Dec of 2020. I am taking a break I just drove it from New Orleans to Chicago and I'm on my way back to New Orleans now. 370 miles to go. It just runs perfect as it always has. #1 He was looking for the CD changer in the trunk. He didn't know it was in the dash. #2 the door pillar is peeling so he thinks you should peel it all the way and to make it match He would buy new rims which are $1500 for cheap ones. You can replace both door pillars for less than $275. These are nice luxury cars not ghetto cruisers. How about Mark Mariner 1 million mile original engine LS 400 which is the first generation of this motor. How about any information. Like the fact that the value has been increasing on these for a while. It is arguably one of the most dependable cars ever built. I personally have had two 430s that ever broke.The one I have now was parked 6 months a year because the owne lived I. JAPAN half the year. The timing belt was done but these cars don't like to sit. I bought it on ebay auction. I put about $4000 it the first week $1400 for 4 new struts.pliugs. valve cover gaskets, front and rear upgraded rotors and pads. The only two repairs that I didn't expect was having to replace the starter with 118k miles. That's 5.5 hours or labor so $175 starter about $600 labor. Also lower control arms and hubs well over $1200. I could have kept driving it for a long time on the hubs and lower control arms. BUT th we clunking noise drove me nuts. On a positive note I paid $11.500 for the car. Plus repairs I'm in it more than I should be. But it looks like it just came off the show room floor.i did a paint correction myself hardly a road chip. All the fluids have been changed even sucked out the power steering fluid refilled it drove it and drained it and replaced it. So My other car is an Acura I paid 43k for it. My Lexus is nicer and I'll bet I won't have to lift the hood for the next $50k miles. Even when I got a bad one it was good. I love these cars for business it's classy but not pretentious. I need to look successful without my customers thinking I'm getting rich off them. I get non stop comments on it

But you won’t get 200K miles (maybe kilometres) of the starter motor! Those thangs are pain in the a$$ to replace as they are in the valley of the Vee, towards the firewall. Not an easy replacement. But not too hard fo a DIY mechanic for a weekend job. And while you’re there, you might as well replace the valve cover seals & ultrasonically clean the injectors..

Love your video, just discovered your channel because I'm looking for a cheap but comfy reliable car, after a lot of research the LS 430 has caught my interest big time, I've seen them on craigslist with 250k plus miles and I've never really seen such consistent interior quality with that many miles, almost all of them with 200K miles were still put together SIGNIFICANTLY better than any comparable Mercedes, audi, or bmw with similar miles and age, and almost all the ads say it's still running and driving great with no serious mechanical issues. It has great power, reliability, interior quality, and reasonable gas mileage, looks like it's going to be my next comfy commuter, looking to get one for under $3000 with 150k miles or so and I actually have some options in that price point! So far really impressed, seems like a gem of a used car.

I drive an '06 with 140k on it. When I bought mine, the chrome on the B pillar was showing too, instead of black like it should. Seems like it peels on a lot of cars. I got some cheap black vinly wrap on amazon and after five minutes it looked brand new again. Really easy fix. The paint on these cars was really good. My paint still cleans up like it's brand new, somehow, even though I only clean it once a year. It's got an exhaust leak right now (original exhaust), so I'll get around to that eventually, but that's expected. No other issues besides a front seat that acts a little funny, but I think the wiring harness is a little fucky. These cars are an absolute steal IMO.

@mrsincere73 жыл бұрын
Rear seat passengers have access yes. But its mainly made for the driver to have the controls there, rather than having to lean all the way over to the passenger controls near the door/right hip side to move the seat for whatever reason. Note. There are no upper controls like that on the drivers seat for rear passengers or the front passenger to move the drivers seat. Thats how you know the upper seat controls on the passenger side is mainly for the driver to have easy access to move the front pass seat. Especially if noone is in the seat.

The controls on the front passenger seat are on both sides so the driver or chauffeur could create more space for the back seat passengers. This car and the LS400 were hand made flagship icon cars which brought in the Lexus name they did not have a Toyota counter part in the US like the smaller models (ES300 - Camry example). The LS400 was specifically built for the US market as the first Lexus model sold, proving the Japanese could compete with the Germans (Lexus) stands for Luxury Export to the US. This car in Japan would be a Toyota Celsior as the Lexus brand would not be in their country till later. They were long wheel base cars set out to take on the Mercedes S Class by the time this car was released Lexus was the number 1 luxury brand in the US. This car is more reliable and better built than the later LS460 which has control arm issues among other issues. This is easily a 500k car with all the bells and whistles you could imagine and if taken care of they should all still work. Proximity sensors on every door, keyless ignition you turn, Headlights that adjust with the road, auto sensing windshield wipers, oscillating fans in front center stack, the ultimate luxury edition even had radar cruise control with a cooler for drinks, there are to many hidden features to mention for its day. They don't make them like they used too. This car is a 300 HP lazy boy recliner on wheels with the quietest cabin I have ever been in. Ever since cars like the Porsche Panamera luxury cars no longer have that comfy cruise appeal they are currently to busy being in Horsepower wars. I love the tasteful LS430 my car is a 05 pearl white with a light grey interior 170k and just getting broke in.

@@CarolinaCarVideos It absolutely is real wood. I wish people would fully inform themselves before speaking of a car of this level. The CD/Tape Decks are still put in cars because the buyers have specific materials that they like to listen to in those formats. Nothing is by chance with this car; the paint, leather, etc is expected to hold up indefinitely. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4vFdGmCa52kgcU
