Interesting video , I have a primus just like that one and it works ... I also had a headlamp like yours too , it cracked one really cold campout . Those came out about the same time as the UCO candle lanterns , and in the Boy Scouts we had cooking grates like that. I tried a lot of what looked like a good idea at the time kind of stuff and like you I still have kept quite a bit of it .

I haven't fettled that particular stove as I have another '71 that I dearly love and works like a champ. I still need to test that headlamp, too. Its been a display piece since I bought it, but I'll be doing a 1960s-70s camping trip video soon and will need some kind of night lighting, hoping it works. Thanks for watching!

That needs either a Kodak Instamatic or a Pocket Instamatic. Haven't seen either in a while. An SLR would be really heavy and I don't think they would carry a Polaroid. I did have the Pocket and Polaroid handed down to me in 73.

Hadn't thought about that, but you're right. I carried an Instamatic....need to find one, and see if I can find some film.

Well, it could be a Boomer KZbinr. I don’t always paste the comments links when I'm 'sposed to. If you're watching on your phone or TV, the links don't show up the way I said they do (I learned that about 5 minutes ago). Mountain House pretty much dominated the market making it hard for others to get a foot hold. The Mountain House packaging is a bit sturdier. They used Mylar which is a bit more puncture resistant than the plastic bags that Rich Moor used.
