As someone who grew up having to go to church, never heard it told like this. Makes way more sense, and how eve isn't just made of Adam or portrayed as the original sinner who enticed Adam to do the same. I like this way more than what I was told growing up. Also shows god as actually having a plan not just reacting. I haven't been to church or pursued any farther knowledge in religion since I was in high school, but this makes me want to hear more of this view

er-r-r-r "Also shows god as actually having a plan not just reacting." ?? Or, seeing god is by definition 'omniscient', doesn't that mean his 'plan' WAS to create things he COULD react to? He then created more ground for reaction by deliberately creating 'sin' and serpents and women unable to resist temptation (none of which existed, nor COULD have existed, without his input. And ALL that MUST HAVE BEEN DELIBERATELY PLANNED, since god, again by definition, is NOT able to commit errors nor rely upon 'chance' Ask the rabbi: he won't respond to me for some reason!🙁

@@peacefulruler1 God didn’t take a soul from some other place and place it into Adam. When God breathed into Adam he passed part of his very soul into Adam. Notice God only did this with Adam and not Eve. So the the very breath that God passed through Adam was taken from Adam to create Eve and so on. I believe this is how we are all connected to God. We are all born with curious nature about a higher power. In my opinion that’s because it’s part of who we are, it’s already in us.

It amazes me how knowledge is kept from even those who appear to be Godly people? Pagan religions teach that we are 3. Body, Soul and Spirit, but the Torah teaches that we are 2, "Soul(body) and Spirit." Pagans teach that the Soul is some type of invisible thing inside our bodies that can be taken away from us by a being they call the Devil (Satan, Serpent, etc.) when we sin? "Fear him who can kill the soul and body in hell" Mt.10:28. Can your body go to hell with you when you die? No, so this statement is fictional. The term "Soul" is simply a Torah word for "body" which was corrupted to support the Trinity invention. For instance the LORD God said in Lv 5:2, "If a soul touches anything unclean...(HE) hath offended; Lv 5:3, "if a soul touches anything unclean, (HE) hath trespassed; Lv 5:4, " If a soul swear (and pronounce with its lips....) "No soul shall eat blood" Lv 17:12. Here's a perfect example that soul means body, Lv 22:11, "But if the Priest buys any soul with money....." The Priest has to feed that person! I hope this knowledge helps someone.

Do not push the red button. They asked me why. I told them that I couldn’t tell them , just do not push that red button. As I was leaving the room, looking back, they were pushing the red button. My Mom left the room when I was small, probably almost the age I could be in a room alone for a few minutes. She was ironing clothes and told me not to touch the iron. Well, I touched it and started to cry because it hurt my finger and I was so afraid my Dad would be upset that I didn’t listen! Well, they both comforted me and I got a bandaid. I learned in college then that children can’t understand the negative of things like “can’t” or “don’t”-instead they can better understand what to do, rather than what “not” to do, as that translates as “to do”.

For example, the 7-year Tribulation hasn’t always been imminent bc Israel hasn’t always been a nation. That had to be in place first & that didn’t happen until 1948😳 They also have to build their 3rd temple- which IS currently in the works. We know the mark of the beast is made mandatory 3.5 years into the Tribulation. So only until recently, is the rapture and Tribulation any day now since prophesies are being fulfilled🙂

It would seem there is much that those who contributed to the New Testament studied and were aware that you may not be aware...thus the need to study with real Rabbi's who are well versed in all of God's inspired writings. The 66 version is based on a group of non-Jewish church leaders to create one book charted by Constantine do quell the arguments of what is in and out of the 66....but there were over 90 books that could have been included including the Book of Enoch, Maccabees, and those that are included in the Catholic version of Scripture. If God brought you to this group to study, then maybe you might consider learning versus assuming you are all knowing...just a suggestion. I've been searching for God for so long. I've been terrified of going to hell. My life has been so unconventional. I ended up transgender. That was a big no no. I ended up with two wives. Didn't even chase after them, it just happened. It came with immense trauma. I've made every mistake in the book. However, if I wouldn't have made the mistakes I did, 3 children, their mother, one of my wives, my best friend, a homeless woman, and another homeless woman would all be dead. Not only that, none of them believe in God, yet I have the most intense dreams. I ended up in every place I was not supposed to be. I even ended up in a cult and then 4 different religions. I've met more people than I can keep track of. One day though, I had 3 dreams where I met God. He showed me how he saved my life, what my dreams meant, and a secret to how it all works. Now no one understands how everything can be so bad, how I've made so many mistakes, be told I am going to hell, yet every day I talk to Him. I love him so much. I only want to be better for Him and I feel like I fail all the time. I do fail all the time, but I try again.. thank you. Seriously thank you. Your wisdom is exactly what I needed to carry on.

I disagree with that story....GOD doesn't need his creation fixed by humans, including Adam and Eve. The purpose of having the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden, was more like a object Divinely design to trigger the exercise of "Free Will". The only portion of human creation incorporated in the "Self " that had not been tested. And so the story goes, Adam and Eve chose wrong.

Also it makes no sense at all that the Spirit could enjoy the fruit of God's labor in 6 literal 24 hour periods! When you see everything done on the 6th day you know Hashem did not mean a literal sun set, actually if you take the text literally it would be 12 hours because the text states evening (dark where 3 stars can be seen) and morning ( the time at which you awake or your surroundings become visible from the light)

@@GlownDaDark, I would challenge that view and say it contradicts the nature of God. God sees the outcomes but he allows his children the choice, it is the choices made by his children that God reacts to. We obey it brings him joy and we gain favor or we disobey his law and it brings sorrow and wrath. God can perceive the outcomes of every choice we make but that doesn't mean he sees the one we will make. This is why he has had to intervene in people's lives to counter the traps laid in front of us by evil forces but if we ignore God's warning then we cannot escape the consequence of it.

To me, whether it was an 9 hours or 30 years doesn't change who God and Adam were in the story. Dont let time convince you whether the story is false or true. To God time is irrelevant, and only belongs to human insecurity and extinct dinosaurs. The story is true because it shows the level of Love that God had for Adam and his offspring. @@YAWNFILMZ Adam didn't feel it (eating the fruit) was right, in fact it was probably the first time in his young life where he felt bad about something. The story is showing how God was wanting this reaction in His creations eventually. What we should understand is that although Adam was ashamed of being naked in front of Gods who he respected, it doesn't mean he was trying to hide his error from God. He answered God truthfully and honestly. He hid because of nakedness, where we are to believe clothing was understood as a moral obligation and courtesy since the beginning. God appeared to Adam, who was still without sin, to inquire the proceedings. In my opinion and close read, the punishments were more like warnings God gave as the natural consequence to the man and woman. The only curse was to the snake, who knew right from wrong already and chose wrong. The rest needed to learn to appreciate life by experiencing death and pain.

Interesting take. We must first "fix" ourselves. Then we can play a helpful role in the lives of others. Eating from the tree of knowledge is accompanied by crucibles. When one awakens to divine knowledge within oneself, one must travel the road of self-purification, renouncing the changeful world, and treasuring the changeless dimension. We become naked through renunciation. Only then can we adorn ourselves with our holy garments, which are made with humility, love and compassion, and of which Wisdom is the perfect seamstress and the eternal fruit of the tree of life.

1 Timothy 2:14 says Adam was not deceived, but Eve was deceived. How can she be deceived if she was the one that knew what God really wanted? I appreciate the Rabbi's interpretation. I believe Christians can learn a lot from Jews in understanding the bible. They are the ones that have been chosen by God to bring the knowledge of God into this world. In this case, however, I have to disagree with the Rabbi. According to Timothy, Eve was deceived, meaning she was tricked by Satan. Adam on the other hand was not deceived. He knew what was going on. He knew what would happen. I think that Adam made a choice. His choice was to stay with God or to fall from grace with the woman that he loved. Adam chose to fall with Eve.

EVE never committed what we call 'sin'. She was CREATED by god to be UNABLE to resist temptation (evidenced by the fact that she COULDN'T resist plucking the fruit); the same god who then tempted her, knowing full-well, (in advance since he's a know-all god). Then HE tempted her. (don't forget the serpent, too, is a manifestation of god, since it didn't exist before god breathed life into it). (And note: 'SIN' hadn't been created before the 'fruit incident': and didn't exist until after god, (deliberately and knowing the consequences in advance) created it "from nothing". I tell you you religious folk don't really read your Bible, every bit of The Narrative of the Bible is about how the bloodline of Seth was to remove the children of the Angels which will referred to as the Nephilim, the term Nephilim in the Hebrew means the Fallen ones. Everyone remembers Israel was given Canaan land the land of milk and honey, they just don't seem to remember God commanded them to kill all the women men and Children of the Nephilim race in order to receive it, and allegoric history which leads to them inheriting the Angels first a state at the end of the book, wise men call it heaven. The religious community has no business messing with this book you're not part of it and you're a product of replacement Theology and there's no salvation in that ideology

It doesn't really matter. Since neither 'sin' nor 'good' existed before god created them. And given his prescience it's unavoidable it's clear that he did so DELIBERATELY. Ditto 'evil' etc.

Some biblical scholars believe that the knowledge tree of good and evil and the tree of life in the Garden of Eden were not created by God with dust like other plants, animals and people in six days, but were transported from the kingdom of heaven to the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 28:13). So those two trees belong to the spiritual tree, just like manna, which can be touched and eaten by people, but not made of material dust. And the knowledge tree of good and evil is very short, which can be easily eaten by people with their hands out; But the Tree of Life was very tall, and Adam and Eve couldn't reach it. But God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden to prevent Satan from making ladders to climb up and pick the fruit of the Tree of Life.

How can you say they didn't sin when God told them no and the did?

Wet the conclusion with nine hours? In nine hours did Adam name all the thousand + animals, did he begin to feel alone, did he sleep, did he know Eve so well that he would listen to her and not God? I don't know where you got those 9 hours from, but it seems totally wrong to me, and without any biblical basis. God bless you.

Also he forgets to mention the seed of the serpent and the plan of satan to corrupt it. Notice he mentions eating from the tree and not the beguiling of Eve. And yes 9 hours sounds a little to accurate for a simple man to know that. Material reasoning has no equal concept to spirituality, man trying to make reason out of what we don't understand is as effective as it is detrimental.

Biblical basis ? The Torah is the original bible from which the christian bible is copied.... the problem is the christians translated wrongly from aramaic/jewish language and thats the problem with christianity
@4dy4dy
@4dy4dy 3 жыл бұрын
@@riz5652 And although I know that translation can be misunderstood. That is why we have even more types of translation for in-depth study. Christianity also has many Jews who can read in the language that Rabbis read. That's why I don't think we're that far from the real meaning. God bless you.

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Romans 5:12 So yes...don't be deceived by this teaching on this video.

2 Corinthians 11:3 I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ--in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake's clever lies.

It 2 Corinthians 3 state truth, it matters not if it believed. That's the choice of the readers. It's the consequences that matters based on God's warning. Example: Sodom, Lot warned them and they ignored him because it didn't fit what they wanted to hear.

The idea behind this verse, and the reason I posted it was to show that Eve was deceived by the serpents lies. It wasn't some clever thought that Eve had, as this guy claims. It was wrong for them to eat the fruit. This guy's teaching is totally against the Bible's teachings.
@JoeSSJ4

@@TheProfessorSocks if I was convinced that this guy's doctrine was correct, I'm not sure that I would allow any other biblical verses to be used as proof text against it either. If you want to dispute the Corinthians verse on the grounds of not believing that the new testament is accurate, that's a different matter. But the teachings in the new testament dispute the false doctrine this guy is teaching.

I am Hindu, went to a Christian missionary school for 12 years and this is easily the most original explanation of the Original Sin that i have ever heard.. it makes one pause and think about the conventional wisdom/explanation of why Adam did what he did. I dont understand .. how .. a hindu person would take Christian Missionary school for 12 years and he still a hindu afterwards .. and he strangely thinking that the rabbi were making an explanation about the original sin while rabbi and the jews who practise judaism doesnt believe in the concept of original sin ... I think thats why Akhand Bharat above are laughing ..

@@reynandweiss7995 Being open to other ideas and trying to understand other religions doesn't mean you need to automatically convert to that religion. There are many Christian missionary schools in India and by your logic everyone who attended those schools for a significant time should have converted by now... it may be tough for you to understand but people across the world dont think along the same lines.
